Hahaha, when did this happen mate?

The same night that the ranga bashed his missus.

He'd pleaded to his coach that he needed a quiet weekend with his mum to get his head right hahahaha.

These ****ers only need to play 24 games a year, how hard is that?

it was the night watts bashed his misses, non event

Does it matter if we found out or not? Are you saying what he did would be okay as long as the club and media didn't find out about it?

He lied to his club, and asked for the game off only to go out and party. With the money these players are getting that is just unacceptable. The fact that the Roosters went from grand finalists to nobodies and he just goes and does that speaks volumes to how much he actually cares about his career.

yeh it does...

do you think his career would be in the spotlight now if it wasnt for petty media reporting nothing events like this?

i was at northies on a wednesday night and our boys were there, a few of them claiming training would be hard the next day

is that ok to do? drink before training?

should the roosters have given him leave from the game? who knows... the point is, its petty... he didnt have a fight, with a male or female... he did nothing wrong apart from have a drink?

drag up the link, didnt it say he spent the day in goulbourn with his mum before going back to bondi to drink?

if we are sacking or red lining every player who has a beer, then we may as well watch soccer... heaven knows those pussie ****ing divers only drink water like good alter boys

Does everyone remember when we signed Brett Kimmorely?

At the end of 2001 after his year with the Northern Eagles his playing reputation had taken a huge hit. No wanted a bar of him.

Except for Chris Anderson. So he got a 1 year deal.

There was a huge up roar from the Sharkies faithful. Kimmorely is crap. What about Preston? Anderson's love child.

I was at that first game in 2002 at the SFS against the Dragons. Some of the things that got yelled out by Cronulla supporters towards Kimmorely blew my mind. Even when he set up tries.

By the end of the year Kimmorely was the toast of the Sharks. He scored the most points in a season by a Shark. He signed a 5 year deal and was handed the captaincy. Something that never could have been predicted 6 months earlier.

Now I'm not trying to say Kimmorely's situation is exactly the same as Carney's, but the point I'm trying to make is things can change pretty rapidly if we start winning games.

Sign Carney to a 1 year deal.

it's not about him having a beer. everyone has a beer. it's about his lack of dedication to his career and his part in the team.

if he was a team player, he'd have fronted up and played the game instead of having a quick hang with his mum and then getting on the piss. he's not dedicated. and he'd NEVER give a **** about the Sharks.

“It is important to clarify Todd Carney hasn’t been accused of anything unlawful. He has however broken club rules and failed the goals he set himself. Todd has been suspended indefinitely.

“In regards to Todd, the Club’s next step will be subject to professional medical advice that we are in the process of obtaining.

“Our rules are the same as most clubs, when it comes to injured players not drinking during their recuperation, so if they were, then they are breaking our code of conduct.”

The Roosters expect Carney to play next weekend after missing Saturday night's loss to Brisbane in Gosford due to a groin injury.

Why are the pro-Carney guys focusing only on the times he "went out, had a drink, got a Taxi" and not on the examples I've brought up countless times where he asked his coach for the game off to chill with his mum and then went and gronked on.

People filter and rationalise their thoughts and perceptions to match their current belief system in order to maintain some form of emotional and psychological equilibrium.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson once noted “People only see what they are prepared to see.”

We do not tend to engage with that which confronts or assails the stability of our own paradigm. In fact, we are prone to manipulate information to suit a preconceived outcome. Data progresses to information and then on to fact through a series of personally prejudicial assessments made. Truth consequently falls victim to interpretation because interpretation is subjective and comparative.

Moreover, the need for social acceptance drives many to adopt a perspective which they perceive to be "correct" in the eyes of the group. Sadly, the need for acceptance figures higher, and is a greater motivator, in the human condition than actual correctness.

If you guys can't argue with me properly I'm going to simply stop arguing. I expect a certain minimum level of competency.

SharksForever would be the perfect case study to prove the above.

Exactly what i've been saying. He doesn't give a **** and he isn't a professional. You want the Sharks to reach the next level? Get a real footy player. Get someone who gives a ****.

exactly. true.

but. Kelly is how old? It's his first offense. if he keeps up with that ****, maybe i'd be inclined to diss him too.

Carney should've settled down and know better and be settling into role of being this amazing Dalley M winning player you're all making out that he is.

LOL! Took you long enough to work that out, mate! But good on you for having a go! Why do you reckon I'm not getting involved? It's like I always say:

Never get involved in an arguement with an idiot because they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!

Well.........

One thing this thread has shown quite clearly is the large proportion of our forum believe that we should be signing Carney.

70% is a clear majority for the signing of Carney!!!!!

Up up cronulla !!!!!!!!!!

on that note, again, Albert is young, and where did he come from? Kempsey? Macksville? one of those ghetto country towns, i grew up in one, i can imagine the kind of upbringing he had. What he needs is guidance to curb his behaviour before he runs the same course as the people he most likely grew up around. He's still young enough to learn. If he doesn't, then **** him off.

Carney, hasn't learnt. **** him off too.
