Kempy was wondering how the Ilias signing is impacted by Atko coming in 26 though still haha

Kempy was also adamant Wayne wanted to keep himself at the Broncos. 6 months later he was with the Warriors!

Tbf he has mentioned other times about why he went to warriors. Most notably he took a smaller deal with a promised start and then it was given to someone else, if I remember correctly

I don’t think that situation makes it unreasonable he thought he was staying or that he then ended up leaving

Given nobody has told him Atkinson will sign and it’s just something he thinks is a good fit it’s more a hypothetical he is really into

Yeh I was just having a lend re Warriors. Your recollection is pretty much spot on.
 
In the poddy when asked about contract talks Atko says 'I never had a headache like this before'
(when Storm signed him they were only one in contact, and same when we did)
So he definitely, and to the surprise of nobody, is weighing up at least a couple options

I listened to the part since he signed with the Sharks, he's an interesting character. A bit hard to warm to as a fan, but seems like a great family man.

Also interesting that he is a Mascot junior, same as Sifa Talakai (Sifa younger).

Yeah I'll give it a listen on the train but dont think I'm going to get through it all.

Still I'm liking these extra podcasts we're getting this off season. Would live to get more from the club though. The Dino one was great, maybe a good one with Mooney or Pickworth

Those questions got tough quickly. I might have gone alright 15 years ago, but wouldn't have got many now!
