Each to their own. I often won't listen to it after a bad performance as the extra carry-on is coming.

It would be a really good podcast if they just toned it down a little bit hey.

You could tell he wasn't a fan of Moylan being dropped, if that was last year or the year before.

There was always this sense that he had to defend Moylan against the critics.

Now Atko is his golden boy.

Super interesting how we percieve things hey. Not saying you're wrong but I never got either of these vibes. I feel like lately he's been praising Atko but has openly said he'd be dropped/on his bench when our halves return.

They are both heavy twitter users, and sometimes on twitter first and loudest is best. I think that limits their ability to present any moderate opinions. They always know exactly what the problem is, who is **** and how to fix it, at least that's how come across. I do think both have decent footy knowledge and are likeable though.

Yeah OK, I don't use Twitter on purpose, not my thing.

I like Sam, I reckon he'd be a great bloke to have a beer with. Just a bit over the top with the positivety sometimes and that's OK.

Definitely seems like a decent bloke and even though I criticise him, I appreciate him bringing in the content cause driving home after work is a pain.

I mainly find myself listening to Sharkcast. I like Sam's presentation style, and he keeps perspective, rather than going bipolar after one result.

But a bit like this forum, it's more interesting after a couple of losses.

I do miss having Newman throw in a few more controversial/left-field opinions now and then.

Overall I like the shorter/sharper episodes, like the latest is 1.5 hours, that's just intimidating. 30-45 mins is about my limit, unless I'm doing a road trip, or unless we just won the Grand Final

I don't miss Newman, thought he had a bit of an ego, but I do think it could benefit from having a co host that is a bit different for sure.

Agree on the length of episodes, they do drag on a bit for me.

100% agree, both ET Stand and SharkCast can be a bit draining and tedious when they are running for over a hour.

FinsUp has the perfect timing, leaves me keen for the next one. The eruption aspect after a loss is the best, just not a fan of swearing.

Was listening to ET Stand this morning and my goodness they really went deep into the golden point history of the club. It was so tedious.

I like Boldo, I think that's who I'm thinking of, he brings energy.

Fins Up is legit the most entertaining and I enjoy it. They know they carry on and it's just part of the show.

Sam is a lovely guy, just kind of got over the whole the "this guy is the best player cause he played 15 mins of good footy". He really rambled on in the post match show aswell at the end, took him 15mins to say goodbye lol

I'd agree with all of the comments. I really only listen to SC because it's not just opinion without much basis (get my fill of that here ). At least he works in the game and gets access to the players. I guess I'm more after news or insights than the banter around the trending social media topics. The banter isn't generally so entertaining I'm in for the 2hrs or so the pods go for!

You would've loved the suggestion that one of his co-hosts said about dropping Trindall for Atko. I think it was on the coffee catch up ep. That's when I turned it off tbh, wasn't really constructive just like "Atko was amazing he needs a spot in the team". Like yeah ok but what does that mean? One less forward on the bench? Drop Trindall who hasn't warranted to be dropped? Send Hynes to fullback?

Haha yeah, either last year or the year before he was going on about how our attack was so good it was going to revolutionise the game. I do like his enthusiasm, he obviously loves the Sharks.

Felt like I was taking crazy pills so went back and listened to the beginning again where they discussed Atko. You must have turned it off early. They pretty much agreed that his form and versatility should find him a spot in the 17, but that was most likely a bench spot. Also said they thought Trick and Nicho were likely Fitz's preference for halves and were fine with this. I haven't listened to their new one yet.
