Troncy is getting forced out of North Qld because of salary cap reasons. Should we threw a buck or two at him? I say absolutely yes!!!! With Snowy playing 70 mins and Dougie 65 last week, its obvious we need another prop and Shane Tronc is quality. We would be crazy to let this chance slip up..

If we hadn't already signed Broderick Wright I would of said yes that would be awesome, but seems we've got about a million props... Dougie, Snowden, Mannah, Selmes (not sure if he's off contract), Cuthbertson...

not a bad player.. I think we should resign ben ross.I think he will be loyal to us and would take a pretty good pay cut. if only the damm injuries would stay away

Yeah Selmes is apparently off contract, and i would not re-sign him. If we could get him cheap then yeah why not but really i dont think he is needed.

We definitely need another established prop. Snowden has only become a full time first grader this year so we need to have 3 quality guys there. Mannah, Wright et al should't be playing big minutes or be expected to carry the team.

Anyway, in complete agreeance with a number of previous posts the current prop line up is no where near at the level required.
Add even a singular injury to a prop next year and we are in all sorts.
I think Tronc is a bit slow (and hence why they are choosing not to resign him) but Scott is quality and is looking for a contract right now, would love to see them make him an offer, they have the money might as well spend it on what they need and that is one more TOP line prop to lead the forward's.
Yes we need backs as well, but yound (cheap) backs can still excel, where props don't usually appear out of the U/20's ready for a leading roll in first grade.

Not even worth looking at. Tronc's mould as a prop is too big & slow and is slowly dying in NRL standards. Props these days need to be active & can play at the line. Hence the great signing of Cuthbertson. Tronc would be a step backward in recruitment.
Agree with most of locking in Ben Ross (for less) before Tronc that's for sure.
