im not confident we can win. Im confident we can match them though. and with the right attitude could come out on top. Its not going to be 1 sided like last week thats for sure.

Shut down JT and i think we go a long way. Have taga peppering him all night

I just think its great to be playing this deep into the season.
I am however getting greedy now and want a win very badly but no matter the outcome tonight I think we can be proud of how they have stuck it out this year and be on of the last 5 teams standing.

I would just love to go to Melbourne next week with nothing to lose and to try and book a grand final for the first time sine 97.

Pride only does so much for me, I want to win and keep winning. As i've said before there are no guarantees we get to this position next year despite getting Maloney & Chad on board. We are in the finals to go to the premiership not just to tick a box. Let's make the most of our shot at that. I'm not in the mood to just watch other teams progress towards the GF.

On another note, if anyone wants a fire up pre game go check out the Cowboys Stampede forum. Alot of the fans there are acting is if this game is nuthin and is in the bag.
It's gunna be hilarious if we get the win, the plowgirls meltdown will be on a Chernobyl scale with the fallout to linger for many a year

I rate us 50/50 chance and feel a mix of confidence and anxiety leading into this one. Either way I see a tight game with a slim margin of victory

I'm worried about the whole spine, got a feeling they'll all just cut sick tonight.

With the media criticising him all week, I'm hoping Grandville over plays his hand tonight. Same with Morgan.

I think it's gonna be a real interesting game. There's lot of good matchups, Lewis and Cooper will definitely be a big one to watch with both being try scoring threats close to the line. They have the halves over us, but we have a much more impactful bench.

Like if they go in with Hannant/Asiata/Bolton, those are all solid stocky sort of mid-field players that do their job well enough; But they aren't really the sort of blokes that will come on and change the course of the game, they don't have the potential to break tackles or push good offloads nor are the good ball players. We have (i assume) Heighington/Tupou/Bukuya, there's lots of second phase play between those blokes. None of them are big, but they don't really need to be against the Cowboys bench.

I think we can genuinely win this game if we hold off the Thurston/Cooper combo again and if Graham can run over Ethan Lowe.

I whole heartedly agree with this. We are very well placed and about to take on a team we have beaten twice this year. The time is now.

They do have some pretty dopey fans who obviously didn't notice how they played against us during the season. They are slight favourites but this is going to be a roller coaster game I reckon! Can't wait for tonight.

Good point. Although Asiata has improved out of sight this year.

Just looked at the cowboys forum, second page in:

" I see Ennis is free to play. What a surprise... "

They also think the idea of defending Granville on the wing is a legitimate tactic or something.

They are clutching at anything for motivation. Thurston was on back page yesterday saying he wants to do it for Graham Murry.... today they are pointing out Gallens terrible record on QLD soil (origins and tests included) It reeks of desperation and a overwhelming sense of failure.

Asiata is a gun ballplayer and will be a danger when he comes on.

To me Morgan still didn't look confident with his 'injury'. Might be reading into it too much, but I'm not expecting a stellar from him tonight.

With you on Granville. I reckon Green would have been in his ear all week telling him to be assertive out of dummy half. I'll take Granville wanting to take control and take the ball out of JT's hands as much as possible over Jake sitting back and letting JT pepper us all night.

Haven't been this pumped for a game in a long long time. Bring it on.

Up Up.

Asiata is a gun. He most certainly can change the momentum of the game coming off the bench. I think it was the Remondis game against us where he came on and really go the Cows going forward single handily, when their starting pack couldn't.

Had to laugh at one of the cowboys fans blowing up about Dosit's Prelim Melbourne Storm thread haha. At least his trolling is getting over to the opposition fans now lol

Nothing would give me more pleasure than seeing JT's chin wobble in the post match presser after a loss.

Come on Sharkies, if we turn up and play out of our skin we'll destroy this mob. :hoping:hoping
