I'm the opposite, lose by 1 or lose by 40 we're still knocked out. If we lost in golden point I'd be stewing for weeks but since we were flogged I've barely given it a thought all day.

Although I am extremely disapointed to lose in that fashion I think the boys will not be taking next years finals for granted. I sure hope they show this game if we make the semis next year to fire them up - especially if we come up against the cows again haha.

Just remember we have come a hell of a long way and deep down we all knew we weren't going to win this year so at least we can be glad we knocked off the defending premiers and were around for a second week.

Shows with each week you go deeper into the finals u need to keep improving and staying healthy. And for God sake be ready for a old fashion ambush. Get that we got flogged but seriously in a season that really gave me plenty of highs that 1st 15min sat night disturbed me highly just got owned and bouncing of tackles like (trying to think of a witty analogy) ... Got nothing.

Agree Vic, was so uncharacteristic for us. It's like we were trying to tackle concrete pillars. I was stunned watching it, thinking we could get into our groove but it never came.

My concern is whether in a fast open game we can go with them.

The Storm game at home, and the Manly debacle at home told me that we had that sort of poor performance in us in the finals. I was confident we could maybe win two finals without a bad one and we would've beaten the roosters week one, but those two losses belied an underlying weakness in our team. I'm going to go to the game Sat and think the Cowboys will get home, and if injury free will go all the way.

I've purposely not put my thoughts on paper as yet, will need a few more days to gather my thoughts.

But I will say the result was not a surprise for me, I did think we were underdone and still a few class players short of the top sides.

We just got steamrolled through the middle. Finally Flanagan's obsession with playing a team full of backrowers came unstuck. When they weren't rolling us through the middle they were throwing tremendous short tip on passes that just gained big chunks of yardage. Very skilled team. Ennis has been tremendous for us this year but he just isn't dynamic out of dummy half. We need to rest him with an explosive runner 15 either side if we want to take that next step.

Just because someone doesn't reply in agreement inside 3 minutes of your original post at 8:30 on a Monday morning doesn't mean you can't criticise someone. Tef has crafted the majority of his forum career off the back of it though and he's pretty good at it.

As for the loss I was over it before fulltime. They did nothing to get me invested in the match to think for a second we could win it. We'd given away 2pts inside 2mins and we're getting rolled. Made choosing a time to go for a piss or grab a beer easy I was only gonna miss a fumble, an ineffective tackle or a Cowboys try.
