Looking better tonight
Great to see another Sorensen playing for the club. Hope the Sharks retain him as well as most of the other local juniors who played tonight. Tonight demonstrates how some players play for their mates and the jersey. Something we have been missing since Chris Anderson took over.
How many in last night team are local juniors
Bloody oath it is.I still think some are getting carried away by the local juniour thing. Yeah sure, it's romantic and all but to me recruiting a kid at 15-16 from somehere else and developing them is just as good.
good game by him, but gee his effort in golden point on taumalolo was weak
that said, he improved ten fold on his previous week so i am glad he is depth
Waiting for someone to bring that up, he ended up making the tackle but Taumalolo ended making twice as much metres as he should have, in saying that we lost 20m on our set when Robo crapped his pants & let the ball bounce cause he thought he was a chance of knocking on again from the kick off.
Agree with this.We should be bringing many more kids through from our (fairly large) junior league than what we do. This area has heaps of kids. I see the value in it. The kids can stay at home near family etc, so you don't get homesickness issues etc that you might get with imports. The junior league pathway seemed to be pretty much cut off when Chris Anderson arrived and hasn't really recovered since. We should be doing much better. That's not to say we shouldn't be importing good youngsters as well, but there is a place for a good strong development pathway from our own junior league, and it hasn't been utilized well in recent history. It seems like there's a bit of a "grass is greener" attitude and a cultural cringe towards our own.
Agree with this.
said that to stevie this morning, we lost the game when robbo failed to catch the ball
I agree with your agree
