Yes but at a cost. $75000 with incentives and options for 2nd year. How ever if he can help mentor, maybe a little more for incentive too

Depends what we are paying him, and for what reason.

If he's getting 300 000 and he's signed to be our no 1 centre, then no thanks.

If he's getting 75 000, plus incentives, and he's just in the mix with the rest of our outside backs. Then ok, I can see some benefits.

One year deal I could stand but not a 2 year deal. We should learn from signing Colin Best at a similar age to a 2 year deal

Tough one ... He definitely will bring some class to our back line but his signing isn't a development move ... He probably won't get any better than he currently is and isn't a long term prospect due to age ... Appears to be a stop gap solution... Perhaps so far flanno hasn't seen anything he likes from our young centers so is looking to plug the hole for a year ...

Can't hurt for 12 months

I'd go along with that, as a 1 year deal.

Any second year deal, to replace Best as 'senior man' would need to be in the club's favour, dependent on how our young centre prospects are developing &/or which other quality centres we could attract at the time.

Yes, if he was cheap (we need centre options) & it was promised that he & Best wouldn't ever be partnered in the centres.

Yeah A 1 year deal with a second in the clubs favour, he can cover 2013 if he is in form and some of our young guys are still not really for Full time First grade.
