Rugby is seriously so far in the bin in this country at this point its sitting next to last weeks Buttered Chicken.

Comfortably behind AFL, cricket, League and football in this country it’s embarrassing.
Yep. There was a survey a couple of weeks ago asking who is your favourite national team.

Aussie cricket team was ~35%
Matildas ~23%
Kangaroos ~16%
Woman's cricket team can't remember but ahead of Wallabies
Wallabies 1.5%

So a question for those in the know - if Australian Rugby dies, what effect will that have on World Rugby?

I thought the Rugby Union World Cup had already started weeks ago and then when I found out apparently it hadn't then I thought now it had started but still not LOL

oh wait seems it has actually started. Didn't even know what country was hosting, there has been no promotion of it that I've noticed. Dunno where to watch - free to air? or Stan Sport?

Looks like the Wallabies lost to Fiji first up so that's nice.... pretty funny, last I saw half the Wallabies team were made up of fellas from Fiji

If the Wallabies were still winning tournaments they probabaly wouldn't have lost so much interest and/or so rapidly. Used to be a famous brand now it's kinda a joke

Nah mate they beat that powerhouse team Georgia first up with a convincing 35-15 win.

It is, but it could bounce back just as fast.

If they ever become successful again, it will be like the 90's all over

I really don't think it will, not to that extent.

I reckon it will, with all things popular it comes in cycles.

Only issue is for how long, can they stay popular longer than a month without imploding the fanbase 😂

Rumours floating about that RA have offered to payout any of the Brumbies debts, on the condition they relinquish their licence to them.

The rumour then is they will move the licence to the East Coast. Probably Western Sydney, or GC or some ****

Wallabies will start requesting to play at Shark Park soon.

It's like dating a girl with small hands, it will be more impressive on camera
