Reckon Fifita is picking up some decent Dally M points the last few rounds.
Chad has been playing well also but I reckon Fifita is probably getting them due to being a higher profile player.

I know you guys can check (somewhere) but I'm not sure where, so maybe someone can post them up???
how consistent is this bloke? Giving him the 3 points is almost a sure thing if we win the game. For me, it’s easy to forget just how good he is for us because he’s doing it so often and easily

IMHO paulo has played extremely well at lock. I would be happy to have gall play as prop for the rest of year, as paulo has been adding another dimension to our attack

He is getting some wraps of late, about his maturity growth and sportsmanship with Moses. Tide might turn in the media and public perception.

Agree. We should do all we can to help Fifita to play well.

I think with Paul out, the other guys lift and arent scared to have their input into the team, Using Gal off the bench would be a good change ... That being said, i dont think he will play past this year

Gotta admit - I didn’t see much of the game, but from watching the highlights people blaming Val on the last two tries are kidding themselves. He had a soft miss on the Gower one.

Also re: the Val no-try I don’t necessarily think it should be awarded, but applying an obstruction ruling to that situation the same as a block runner situation is incorrect IMO. Moylan was moving towards his own tryline and doing his best to get out of the way.

There are many times each game where a kick returner runs around or behind his own players and a few time per round a chaser is impeded but it is never penalised because common sense is applied. This is the first penalty I ever remember seeing for this.

I agree that the Parra player was impeded but I believe the ruling is inconsistent with the way that situation has been interpreted in the past. Obstruction rulings on kicks down field probably needs some clarification or explanation.

i was the same as you on that ruling

he also made a b line for moylan and didnt even attempt to go for val

It was well milked definitely, but still a shepard.

What i dont like is the ref letting play go for 80 metres when he knew there was an obstruction. Theyre too scared to call it. What if a player does a knee in that play

Thats the first penalty youve seen for that? Wow. Nu brown was penalised against the roosters in 2014 for running behind his team mate who was standing in front of defenders.

It was as blatant of a sheppard youll see. Most times this season players just give themselves up in that situation to avoid penalties

It was a penalty for sure. The difference to a decoy runner is that in the case of decoy runners the fault is with the decoy runner and the penalty should go against them. In this case, it was Val's fault as he ran around Moylan like he was the upright. Pretty dumb thing to do.

Exactly. Without moylan there he most likely wouldnt have had the gap he did. Its a shame cos the moves he put on in that run were something special
