Wow. What a great win and I have to put my hand up as one of those that said we were no chance.

Still, I was worried when we couldn't score with the early possession but great to score some tries and some good ones.
Jack Bird? Well, it's all been said. He is all class and the difference between the two sides today.

Great completions today and while the defence was a little shaky in the second half we managed to close down the game.

I'll be in Coffs Harbour next Friday night for the Knights game but I'm wondering if I should drive down for the game and drive back to Coffs the next day. Its great to be an excited Sharks fan again.

I still think it's a concern that we had 24 tackles in the roosters 20 in the first half and only came up with 1 try, which was scored from outside the 20

Thats a huge deal. Should had 2-3 tries by half time.

Just noticed the fowards jogging at the line then trying to use leg power to drive forward. Although i think in that time lewis went over and was held up, feki came close with a knock on/in touch and a few other close calls.

Agreed mate, we really need to be more creative in the opposing 20. Robbo just can't create, it's back and forth across the field and then bomb the winger. Maybe Robbo needs to take more of a backseat when we're in their 20. Use Ennis, Bird, Val and when he's back Ben Barba to create there.

Absolutely. We were lucky to be in front by 4 after 40 mins. We had no idea how to create scoring opportunities.

The fact that Maloney & Pearce had an Origin-like performance, certainly helped us a lot.

But 60% possession and only 4 points to show for it, is terrible. Still plenty to work on.

i had a similar experience with jarrod mullen. We were at a mutual friends party, friday night. He was maggot, we are in the TAB room and he says, my tip for the weekend, dont pick the Knights. Sure enough he played the next day and stank.

cant say ive never got maggot before work though

edit: this was not this weekend just gone. This was about 4 years ago

likewise but we went close a lot of times, they defended well, we were never going to outclimb their wingers on the bombs either

ha ha, a mate of mine reckons he bumped into a western suburbs/canterbury 5/8 legend at 4am one morning in newie

he was smashed and proudly had a toothless woman on each arm, happy as larry, going back somewhere for a great time

next day he carved it up, game of his life
