Agree, bar a few little errors his game has advanced from last year, having a solid 6 ,7 and 9 would give him so plenty of confidence. I just wanna see him running off Jez or Gal out wide, plenty of gaps appear when 2 and 3 defenders have to tackle the big boys.

Why would you even consider dropping gards? he dropped one bomb.. his one on one defence has been impeccable this year his back up play is good his positioning.. gards is our future wake up!

I can't help but think we could of loosened up a bit and flogged the Panthers on Saturday. We manufactured the grind - they were there for the taking but we chose to ruck it out. I don't like to be too critical on calls to take the 2 or have a tap, and I tend to think we took the early 2 cause of the heat, but with almost 70% of possession having been in our favour however buggered we were they were gonna be feeling it worse. A try there and they're 12 down early, knackered and facing another set in defence.

Nathan Gardner is lucky no one is really knocking the door down for a first grade fullback spot because he is struggling. If it weren't for Carney being where Gards should have been on a few occasions we would of been in big trouble. I'm not gonna bag the dropped bomb either. That stuff happens - earlier in the match he took one that he had to jump for and was under pressure so I'll judge his ability on that one and mark the dropped sitter down to bad luck.

Good to win. Plenty to improve on and nothing like the derby to motivate. Can't wait till Saturday!
