Matthew wright needs to be dropped.he showed no urgency at all to get that kick.

Drop Gal for throwing the unessecary offload in the last 5 too?

Drop Toops for attempting the intercept too?

Drop John Williams for not showing enough urgency to be there to chase Oldfield down?

timber= rocks for brains. I'm glad Flanno is our coach, not you mate.

Well, it's the day after and I still don't feel any better about that loss. I'm still filthy at the refereeing but I am even more proud of how our team played in the face of ridiculous adversity.

On the positive side, I got the big "SHARKS" banner back from the NRL exhibition at Casula in time for the game. Hope it looked good, it's always great fun to put that thing up!

Plus, I "debuted" my African war drum in The Cage with pretty good results, I reckon! Seemed to be effective in getting a few "Sharkies" chants started and building some atmosphere. Anyone notice it? What's the verdict: Thumbs up or Thumbs down? (I'll admit, I still need alot of practice!):p

Just back from a very long drive home after last night's great disappointment. I can't believe how it all ended...It was made even worse by having an absolute jerk of a manly supporter, who was mouthing off all game being able to leave feeling satisfied, while we sat head in hands until the shock wore off.

Thank god for alcohol is all I'll say.

That is the team I want to see play each week.

Full of commitment and Passion.

To talk anything about dropping players is borderline stupidity.

Yes we all know about what the blind bats didn't see or do,
but our guys gave it their all last night.

And for that, I'm still a happy Sharks supporter.

Up The Sharks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't drop anyone and never mentioned it

It was mentioned before in other posts, I was just commenting on it, giving it my opinion

Warren Ryan just said what I've been thinking about this game- "They won on the scoreboard while being beaten on the scoreboard." (Referring to Manly)

It echoes a famous line by the legendary US basketball coach, John Wooden who always emphasised that you could win the game but score fewer points than your opposition, and score more points than your opposition but lose the game. He didn't bother himself with the points, he was just concerned with the performance.

We can blame the refs all we want, but we should never have let Manly back into the game, the George Rose try was as soft as it gets, even if it was a forward pass, you play to the whistle. Unfortuantly, apart from a game against a very poor Penrith, we have not put together an 80 minute performance yet, not even against St George.

Thats very true Matt - but the amount of pill manly had in the second half , there was a 10 minute period we didnt touch the ball FFS , makes it very hard for any team to compete.

I do however still worry about Flannos comment the other week that we need to compete for 70 mins

How the hell can you worry about that? He was obviously misquoted.

Was he ?

Actually just finished watching it again - geeze we played well - very very well

But gotta say lucky ther refs didnt penalise Pom and Kelly for running players off the ball a couple of times - couldnt have made the result a foregone conclusion a lot earlier.

Aitons service from dummy half is crap - sure he penalised twice , one wasnt a forward either BTW , but another 3- 4 were line ball and probaly could have been picked up - incidentally they were all coming off our line , we were too flat .

The advantage rule - I've seen longer advantages pulledup and shorter ones allowed to play on - I wish there was some consistency on that rule .

Yeah the refs were bad to us in the second stanza but we got away with a bit too , just not in a critical period

Roses try was a definite forward pass , no ifs or butts about it

Last week Manly got their first penalty in the 68th minute and Dessy went to town about it , see it pays to be vocal .

What do you think is more likely- a first grade coach saying his team only has to play for 70mins, or Brad Forrest from the mighty journalistic publication that is the Shire Leader misquoting someone?

He said that if we can compete for 70 minutes we have the class to win the last 10 minutes.

It's not hard to pick that up and it's a waste of breath to talk about it still. Only complete idiots misunderstood what he was saying.

That's true, however how many games like that can we have? We need to win them to make the 8 I reckon. We should be 4/5 right now. I can cop the Warriors loss because it was mostly our fault for losing that one, but last night I think is 2 points we may need at the end of the season.

Still Filthy. Good to see the boys give it to Manly but to lose it in the 80th minute is just not fair.
