Rekon absolute worse thing we could do is blood bird at 6 and barba at 1 against the storm if we are going to hit the panicked button can we atleast wait till Titans game otherwise the storm will sux any enth of confidence we have. Remember we broke their winning streak minus gal couple years back, here's hoping lightning strikes twice.

Minus gal was why we won. The rest of them were allowed to touch the ball

If we're going to debut a rookie at 6 I'd rather Holmes there than Bird. But I'd want Holmes at fullback.

For me, the problem still is Robson. He's the one that needs to be moved. We need to find someone else to play seven and move Robson to bench hooker. But who you ask? I don't know. But if it doesn't happen we can't expect things to change.

Someone once said though desperate times call for desperate measures and I reckon anyone other than Robson at 7 is going to be an improvement. I'd like to suggest an alternate number seven but each one that I think might be capable still has black marks against them.
Robson has been a star compared with Barba. We don't really need a bench hooker. Gordon is in decline and sending Barba back to fullback is what I'd like to see.

Give Bird a go at 5/8. Graham has been an abject failure there. We aren't going to beat Melbourne so we may as well experiment.

Yes mate maybe you're right but Barba has the potential to outshine Robson when both are playing well. It's going to be interesting to see what Flanno does. I think it's better to experiment now rather than keeping the same side for 8 rounds and be none from 8.

Will be there for the 6th year in a row. ( yet to taste victory). Each year I drink more and more before the game. It has helped dull the pain.
Will see you at transport Thresher. I just hope they suprise us this year.
ffs something has to go right this week. I suggest holding the ball as the first one.
See ya there.
Cook.

I'd reckon one of the bench spots could be taken up by a potential replacement for Ennis, just in case his injury re-emerges.

Politoni?

Gardner would be fun for a bit of a pace boost late in the halves, not sure his tackling would be up to it though.

Flash is a bigger problem than robson imo

This is the stupidest post I've ever read.

If Ennis stays fit you'd want him on the field for the full 80 minutes, then you'd have an unusable man on the bench

Fair point SB, he's certainly lost it. They both don't offer any creativity. Which is why Flash should now be on the wing if he's to be retained in first grade. But it wouldn't concern me if they were both left out of the 17 altogether.

I would go with

Holmes
Gagan
Ricky
Beale
Feki

Bird on the bench to add enthusiasm if not much else to begin with.

Leave the halves as they are but shift Gal to front row and Wade to lock.

Need to be able to have crisper ball movement and Gal needs to get out of the way for it to happen. Robson other then having no long kick is actually looking to create instead of dumping the ball inside him.

Ennis needs to be allowed to run the forwards and pick which one he passes to so again Gallen needs to stop getting the ball twice a set just for the sake of it.

Fix these few things and we will look 10 times better then we have.

I can't help but think that's a tad unfair Chaddles. Thinking back over the last couple of weeks, there only one attacking play that's looked dangerous... Inside ball to Gordon, Slater style. Gordon is a tackle breaker, and if someone could give him more opportunity to hit a stretched line at an angle, we'll see more line breaks and tries off the back ( I'm not going so far as to claim Gordon will score those tries...!).

A related though: Flanno is also unfairly criticised for not being creative in his attacking structure. After all, he had pioneered the revolutionary sliding offense...

No mate, definitely Holmes he was limping quite badly unable to straighten his knee. I'll be very surprised if he plays this week.

I wouldn't be surprised, I remember him having treatment after being tackled while almost making a break in the second half. He played on but he was limping on it pretty badly.
