It makes more sense putting Wade in 6 and moving either Lewis or Bird into the backrow, if you ask me. But I doubt either line up will happen. Too many players vying for backline spots. I can't see how you fit Holmes, Feki, Gordon, and Gagan in :\

Wade started off playing for us as 6 but it became clear that it wasn't working and he was moved. I still think the idea of Ennis to 7 and Robson to hooker has some merit.

Better than the current scenario anyway....

Rekon absolute worse thing we could do is blood bird at 6 and barba at 1 against the storm if we are going to hit the panicked button can we atleast wait till Titans game otherwise the storm will sux any enth of confidence we have. Remember we broke their winning streak minus gal couple years back, here's hoping lightning strikes twice.

I can understand the temptation of wanting to put barba at fullback and hoping he recaptures his 2012 form but at the end of the day we don't have a suitable 5/8 replacement, we are far better of just swapping flash and holmes around, would be far less unsettling for the teams structure

Is it fair to say it's up to barba to find form and not have blokes pushed into other positions just to accommodate him ?

yes and no, the problem is he can play fullback or at 5/8, we have 2 fullbacks and no fit suitable 5/8's. If we had someone like Gardner playing fullback and a suitable 5/8 in the ranks id be all for the change, but thats not the scenario that we have.

Obviously we need to make his transition into our structure as speedy and successful as possible, and that would probably be at fullback but the fact of the matter is he has to play 5/8 and there is just no other logical option imo

The problem we face in the future is what happens if he never comes good at 5/8

Barba will develop perfectly fine into a 5/8th. Our biggest problem is that we expect our 5/8th to do everything in attack. its simple we need a ball playing fullback and a competent halfback. we have a ball playing fullback in Holmes. Get a competent halfback and we will be fine!

He would work well with Maloney, Sezer, Sandow in the halves

All i want is a robbo settling touch finder.
Savour the moment mate, could be the last one you ever see down there

Don't be surprised to see this line up come game day.

1. Barba
2. Feki
3. Beale
4. Luetele
5. Gordon
6. Bird
7. Robson
Flanno is a desperate man if doing this after two rounds. I doubt it eventuates.
Desperate maybe but I would be impressed he is willing to make such drastic changes, we are going to lose this game regardless so may as well mix things up and try something else even if I think its a disaster waiting to happen it will be a fresh new disaster

No way in the world that side runs out though

Jeez we are acting and looking like a dribbling Mess again. If we start making these wholesale changes after round two, what if they also fail.
Funnily enough we were me included putting ****t on manly but all of a sudden rekon with the exception of dce and Foran they will get whoever they want next year be it maloney, seezer or hodgo then it's Left to us to scrabble over their scraps.

I think you're pretty spot on here, have a full back doing some ball playing and a competent halfback and Barba will do what he's expected which is to pop in and out of plays and support the forwards etc, not control the team. Maloney is my No 1 pick.

I really wish I could coach the team sometimes when we are picking terrible sides. Although i do think Gal is a good forward I would remove the captaincy off him and make a play maker or hooker captain. Ennis would be my first choice.

If we're going to debut a rookie at 6 I'd rather Holmes there than Bird. But I'd want Holmes at fullback.

For me, the problem still is Robson. He's the one that needs to be moved. We need to find someone else to play seven and move Robson to bench hooker. But who you ask? I don't know. But if it doesn't happen we can't expect things to change.

Someone once said though desperate times call for desperate measures and I reckon anyone other than Robson at 7 is going to be an improvement. I'd like to suggest an alternate number seven but each one that I think might be capable still has black marks against them.
