Can someone tell my why Luke Lewis tried to strip a ball from an attacker on the 5th tackle? Led to antoher try.
He only needed to tackle him and we would have gotten the ball back. Another way to let the opposition score on the 5th.
So many tries against us are scored on the 5th tackle!!!

I know it didn't matter to the result but it is just another example of our dumb play.

Yeh it was pure genius, considering it was 5th tackle & he pretty much had the ball wrapped up, commentators made a comment like "gee Luke Lewis was unlucky there"

WTF? unlucky, more like no brains, as per shark like, they scored from it.

It was covered briefly before, but I was reading the play by play online commentary just now and this is cause of some annoyance:

"Cam Smith back slammed by David Fifita. He's a bit dusty, but nothing illegal there"

"Well there wasn't anything illegal. I assure you. But the video refs intervened and they've blown the penalty"

There are plenty of other instances where **** happens and the video ref stays out of it. Something happens to protected Cam Smith and video ref is all up in the business.

Such a load of ****.

That was a terrible terrible call. They scored 2 minutes later after another penalty where a.fifita was being pulled back down by a storm player.

That tackle was the only good part of the game and the refs couldn't even let us have that one tiny bit of satisfaction.

I don't know why they are all under C.Smith's thumb.

Gordon needs to go. He is not useless but pretty damn ineffectual. Val is worth taking a risk on at the back and Gagan needs to be on the park. Watching some old footage from last year Gagan is a dead set star in the making.

didn't see all of the game, but I thought beale and leutele looked good with ball in hand, both have good footwork

I see ricky didn't have many runs where beale is hitting 10 a game and making good meters

I am only mentioning this as our centres are copping it by muppets on facebook but I dint feel they are getting the opportunities to show what they can do as they don't get the ball in attacking opportunities

we need to address this, and the issue I have is the halfback is to slow and indecisive, and the coach's game plan does not complement our centres

Leutele is good and should be getting more ball but Beale is useless. 10 useles runs a game does not make a good centre.
He slid backwards to his tryline and basically told Barba Harris is yours on that first try.
I said before the start of the season he was a bad signing and I haven't seen anything from him to change my mind.
Bird should be there, a bit of youth and enthusiasm.

How many line breaks has Beale had this year compared to Leutele?
How many tries have been down Beales side compared to Leuteles?
Look at those stats and you will see who the better centre is.

Unforced errors like kicking out on the full in play, or not kicking it out on the full for a penalty are just killing us.

How many of those types of mistakes have we made already this season?

You don't see junior league teams making as many simple mistakes. There must be HUNDREDS of lower league players that could do a better job at kicking than our mob. It's simply unbelievable and unacceptable. It's embarrassing.

When barba did that flanno mentioned it in the presser but when his love child robbo does it ,he doesn't have anything bad to say about him . I hope they both get ebola

If you didnt see, Bukuya didn't cover his man, which was Harris. Bukuya was to far in and did not stand wide enough, Beale didn't leave Barba out, also Harris being a second rower might of offload to the center and atleast Beale would of marked up. Anyway even if Beale helped Barba it would of been a certain try.

Beale is only better than leutele in reputation. Leutele has been both better in defence and attack.

I'm liking some of the things I have seen from Beale in attack (the potential for him to be dangerous is there) but 3 rounds in thus far I'm inclined to agree with your statement
Beale did make 1 or 2 nice plays in defense on Saturday but Ricky makes good solid tackles game after game

both offered little in this game in attack but quality opportunities for them didn't really occur (like most our games)

that draw and pass from beale for holmes try, beale was very calm and took his time to get it right, pomeroy or ayshford would have completely butchered it lol

All in all I really hope beale lives up to his reputation because his is not there yet but I fear the glass house of Flanno will keep him down
