I've been telling my Eels mate for some weeks now that 5th is the best spot to finish than 4th as you avoid playing Storm twice.

Week 1 of finals 1 v 4 (Storm v Eels) - Storm win - Loser Eels to play winner of 5 v 8 (ideally Saints) - We win

Week 2 Sharks v Eels - seriously we are a much better side, we win.

Week 3 we go to the other side of the draw playing for GF spot against Broncos/Roosters. We avoid Storm until GF.

We turn up and finally put it all together and win again, go back to back a first for 20 odd yrs and put an end to the theory you need to finish in top 4.

I'm with you. First B2B in yonks is okay ... I guess. But if ya wanna do it right you come from outside the top 4 to get it done!

I've not liked the way we've been playing but if the Roosters are the 2nd best team in the comp we must still be a roughy. Obviously it would be the ugliest premiership ever.

How terrible the season highlights video would be.
