Me neither. Although my hope of actually defending the title is very slim at best and has been all year, this team is very capable of rallying and giving it a fair shake.
Holy hell crazy that is crzy talk from you... I like you have serious serious doubts but I'm all in on this until the end.

I can't believe how many times Brisbane got repeat sets and six agains. We seemed to get to their fifth tackle so many times and we just expected to get the ball back. It was so frustrating, not sure if it was luck or we just came up with poor plays.

I'm nowhere near writing us off either but there really needs to be a 180 degree turn around bloody quickly.

Where has our defence gone? Is that primarily down to not having Ennis?

I think it's more the changes to the team. Val is no Barba when it comes to organising the defense. Brown, Clydesdale, seggy, Brailey, Paulo..!.. we're buggered at 9. Capewell. Even the origin disruption, we're just not able to gel.

Our starting forwards (Gal Fifita Prior) were all dreadful. Bukuya as well.

We won a comp based on bashing them up the middle. We are not doing that.

Matty Prior finished with 4 hit ups for 42 metres tonight. Shocking. I mean Matty is one of my favourite players, but he was simply poor tonight.

Like NOBODY on the team is playing well. What is going on? It's as if we are scared of the tough stuff. Lewis scored a try tonight for instance but did absolutely ****-all otherwise, and played the whole 80.

It's an experienced team, and everyone needs to pull their finger out or get dropped.

We have to go back to basics even if it's boring. Hit ups up the middle for five, kick on the last into the corner none of this bombing ****, then pin them down. Line speed, keep them on the back foot put the pressure on in their own 20 or 30.

No stupid plays where passes that aren't on are pushed. Safety first football. Earn the right to go around teams, need field position and bending the line up the middle to go wide.

Errors are killing us. Deadset you'd think they've never played together before. Something is up within the camp and unless Flanno finds the magic answer, we're just making up the numbers.

The problem is, making mass changes this time of year will do more harm than good. The team simply isn't hungry enough, they haven't been all year. They've been complacent, just expecting things to work without having to work for it. I've been hoping they find that hunger all year, but they haven't. Yeah they've had a good game here and there, but on average, it hasn't been there. Up to Flanno and the boys to rediscover it.

I think we're witnessing the reason why it's so hard to go back to back in the game these days. My feeling is we're going to have a season long title Hangover. The odd game at our best, but lots of off games.

Only bright spots on an otherwise gloomy night was some excellent defence from Chad, Maloney and Capewell. Feki is also starting to look confident under the high balls and kicks which is a good sign for us.

Just watched the press conference. Still can't help thinking that Flanno and Gal are papering over the cracks.

"We can turn it around in one game, one half even," Gal said.
Flanno was asked about our inconsistent year and Flanno barked back that we'd only lost 7 or 8 games, we've won 12 or 13.
He said you can't say we're inconsistent. These comments are a concern and it sounds like they really aren't showing any concern about our bad form.

Sharks were very poor, but GOD that was a horrible performance from the whistleblowers. Soft penalties, players standing 5m in front of the ref, dodgy 6 more calls, blatant knock ons called, Kahu is a metre in front of the kicker (it was about 10m from me) but apparently there is insufficient evidence to say he is offside. The video ref is a mind reader and knows Fifita's thoughts. The Refs were making up there own rules tonight. Apparently Brisbane are allowed to play advantage on a holding down call, play out their tackle and then get the penalty anyway. We score but get called back to receive our THIRD penalty of the game at the 75 minute mark. FMD that was the worst reffing performance I have seen in years. Sharks were piss poor, but were never going to be allowed to win that game.

Cant help but feel we deperately need a spark somewhere. Our back 3 combined have scored nowhere near the amount of tries that they scored last year. Frustration of not being able to score points will always lead to defensive lapses. We simply don't seem to have a real attacking weapon at the moment. The Broncos have them all over the park. For all the talk and hype of Val going to fullback this year, we have seen little reward. Sure, he runs the ball back strong, but where is the elusive stepping and line breaking. He scored 3 tries on the wing in one game for Queensland this year. I would like to know how many he has scored for Cronulla at Fullback this season. Will have to check it out.

We look like 2015 South. We all know how it ended.

Attack is ****, defense is getting worse each time. Penalties, dumb plays, poor handling, missed tackles galore... If I were watching a team fighting to avoid the spoon, I wouldn't complain too much. But this is the reigning champion, the premiers.
Appalling stuff.
Do they train during the week? Good thing they had a players only meeting earlier this week. It sure paid dividends.

I might be proven wrong by the end of September, but at this stage, I think we're just making up numbers.

It's funny. For angry as I am I'm not writing us off.

I've been pretty positive up until now but I really don't think the team care anymore.

I think it would be better for everyone if they go out in the first week of the finals and go to Bali for two months instead. Hopefully a few of them will do something stupid and we can sack them.

I don't know why we didn't do the forward work through the middle. Our whole game was just trying to spread the ball along an unsuspecting backline. Appalling.
