Positives ? Well monday night footy seems to throw up upsets regularly so we're gonna win. :)

That's the spirit! I wonder how much different they will play without Cordner. Having said that, sbw will be back right? This should be interesting in terms of Beau, haha.

Yes mate.Feki has done well this year , but we have to react to some flaws that have been exposed in recent weeks.

You are right, Maloney and then Thurston will drive the bloke mad in coming weeks if we persist.

Stapo is the correct selection in my opinion.

React to flaws? **** me dead, sideline the entire team then.

Just watched the highlights on nrl.com and I reckon if carneys ball to feki was forward than nightingales ball to morris was forward as well. Both looked very similar.
Agreed.Did u see the pass in the panthers v warriors game?It was a blatant forward pass and the try was given. These refs r friggin hopless.

Even though we only won by a try in the dying minutes, we did also have three tries disallowed:

1 for a marginal forward pass, 1 for a double movement (which was inconclusive whether he got it down in the first place) and an obstruction. So with some luck or just a little bit more polish we could have beaten them convincingly.

Like flano said post match that the boys dont need to LEARN how to hold the football they just need the right mindset and next week they should turn up with that mindset, playing at home for a possible top 4 spot against the premiership favourites you would like to think so.

I am not going to judge too harshly on this game as Monday night is the defying game for us and will tell us exactly where we are at, lets just hope we field a full strength team to make it very interesting.

Thats right, given the opportunities that we did actually have, given our poor completion rate, we also crossed the stripe 3 or 4 times extra to the tries that were given, Todds was only just forward, and IMO Gal should not have been disallowed, I hate the new obstruction rule, the Sharks get flack for playing flack, but you run any sorta out the back play and its got a 75% chance of being called back for obstruction. Heighno was a bit silly for stopping, but at the same time, Creagh just pushed him, its not like Heighno got in his way while he attempted to get Gal, he went for Heighno, **** he already had his arms up crying like he does before Gal even ran past them

Yeah fair enough Creagh was being a hopeless **** like usual but Heighno was right in there. He just should've run through the line.

Maybe the ref boss, yet again, needs to look at the interpretation of the obstruction rule. People are exploiting it.

Great last 5 min 3 things really stood out other than fifita classic try..
1.feki had an ordinary night but that last in goal take he did great to get out and not concede goal line drop out...
2. Poms last run just about when he kept galloppingwith 3 hanging on to get over the half way line was a great effort...
3. And my personal favourite I rekon robbo had a little play at the ball that the refs decided wasn't played at and gave us the scrum feed...
Still stunned how we won...

You have to have an attempt to get to the ball holder (not Sam Burgess). You cant just go oh this guy is between me and him, ill push him and throw my arms up and milk it. After this year a few things that require the most scrutiny by the refs boss is that rule, the shoulder charge, and the whole video ref system. Thing that ****s me is the video refs decision is based on what the retarded ref thinks, and what the retarded camera guys actually capture. Its the 21st century and we watch the replays in very poor slow motion that you cannot tell if there is grounding or not. get some decent cameras that can slow right down, that fixes grounding and touch line issues. Also get the digital line drawn across the ground (even if it means having meter markings along the field) like the NFL and other sports. That allows video ruling of forward passes and offsides properly. Too many games are coming down to the poor decision making by the refs touchies and video refs

The thing is we won! We were bagged last week for not playing the 80 minutes and bagged this week for winning in the 80th minute. Personally I find it more satisfying to beat St Merge that way. We have lost heaps of games in the last couple of minutes in the last few years.
Knights losing just makes my weekend even sweeter.
Results on the whole went our way.
Still think we will give the Chooks a good run next Monday

Strangely enough, the Roosters game is the type of game we are likely to win as huge underdogs.
