I'd replace Barrett with Lewis ( that wont happen due to $) I'd replace Covell with Perkins ; Start Gallen and Dougy off the bench , Cordoba & Wright to start , Kelly to the bench , Tautai to the Engadine Dragons Ellie Baileh in for Pom and Pom to the 2nd row

Gal can do 80 mins don't need him warming a bench spot. Plus if he had less game time he might try even too harder than usual out there. I think we need dougy to start to help provide the early platform. Don't mind your suggestions on kelly,TT and Poms though. Don't know enough about perkins to give an opinion. wudnt want cordoba and wright starting though.

I am shocked we have been given a Friday night game?! I know it's against a team at the top but still... wow.

St George are gunna need another tube of sunscreen after there Sunday arvo match it seems!

What about acutally giving either Kelly or Lewis a run ffs. This is BS we have done nothing but cripple the kid, talking him up, than chucking him in the wrong position than shafting him when he doesnt excel (at fullback). If he OR LEWIS, dont get a run in firsts this season its a complete joke

the only threat to the sharks is carney, shut him down the sharks should win as easily as they did the last time.

Roosters dont have the fire power to score against good defence

<EDITED>

NRL Draw for Friday, August 13, 2010

Also at 7.35pm, the Cronulla Sharks come up against the Sydney Roosters at Toyota Stadium. The Roosters have been unbeatable in recent rounds, claiming third position on the NRL ladder in round 20. While the Sharks continue to battle at the lower end of the ladder, round 13 of the 2010 season saw them triumph over the Roosters, 42-18.

kelly and smith should get a start next week

smith at 7
kelly on the bench

it may be a weak bench but you can slot aiton in the hooker role, put barrett at lock and then kelly at 5/8th ?

who knows I hope they change the team up, as at the moment the team sucks, why not at least see if we can make some changes that might score some points (and blood players as well)

I want to see smith get a run but porter hasn't been that bad he's not letting anyone down it's really unfair on him.

Lewis will not play NRL this year - its a money thing , too many complications , he was contracted for NSW cup only - I hope we give him a NRL contract next year

Roosters are the best attacking team in the comp atm! But you're right in saying the biggest threat is obviously Carney. Where's Vave? I'd like to see...

1. Gards
2. Gordon
3. Collis
4. Pom
5. Cov
6. Baz
7. Smith
8. Snow
9. Aiton
10. Douglas
11. Millo
12. Toops
13. Gal

14. Vave
15. Cordoba
16. B Wright
17. AK

I love Ports and was all for giving him a decent go, but Baz is having to take on too much organising and therefore not being able to play his natural game. Smith apparently killed it in NSW Cup and although there's a big difference between it and first grade he deserves another chance too.

I have been really happy with John Morris this year, dependable, but he is offering little and isn't part of our long term plan and I'd rather be able to use Kelly as an X factor player... where you put him I'm not sure, maybe putting him at 6, baz to 13, gal to 11 and giving millo a break.

That's nice for other teams to know but the Sharks no longer have good defence. Especially out wide and around the ruck.:(

Aiton needs more playing time. Last night was the perfect example. Flano brang Aiton on about 20 minutes into the game and we had that spark in our offense that we need when Aiton was on. Morris doesn't offer that.

You think Sharc ???

What happens to us in EVERY GAME when Dougo & Snowy leave the game ??

Dont you think it may just work a bit better if we replace Snowy with Dougo ?

As for Gallen he can make more impact coming on 20 mins into the game - might give the other players a chance to settle into the game before he comes on and hogs the pill

Gal can do 80 mins

Actually I disagee - rewatch him play - he gives the impression he can do 80 mins but is he effective both physically and mentally for 80 mins ???

Ask yourself this , is it in the teams interest for him to play the full 80 mins ?

well there you go Slide Rule - you've hit the nail on the head !!

the culture of our club

NRL is a 17 man team game - the bench is every if not more important than starting - if you dont have impact off your bench forget it - you dont think Gallen would give impact ??

Do you think we have impact now ? what happens when Snowy and Dougo come off after 20 mins ?? What happens when Tautai comes on ?

Think about it...........

I agree with that. I wouldn't start him from the bench but would rest him for 15 minutes or so in the second half, depending on how he's going.

I'm sure he would have impact, but he is a starting player.

If you did that you would just be robbing Peter to pay Paul.
