I have a question: When people are trying to master things, they generally look to the masters. When people are learning to play an instrument the only true way to master it is to copy the greats until your own thing evolves. When I'm learning **** on my skateboard (still after all these ****in years) I watch vids of the guys who do it the best. My question is do the Sharks ever look at the plays executed by the likes of the Storm and the Rabbits??

I've seen one or two Melbourne plays recently and we scored from both. Why don't we do it more? Who's coaching these idiots?
Or who is the idiot doing the coaching

You're right. I'm pretty sure Carney and Wade did an inside outside play or Melbourne/Queensland play. We've scored using that play recently, may have been against the Panthers. I think a play like that can become predictable, that's probably why they don't run it all the time.

On a slightly related note. There was one guy behind at the game last night who said "you wouldn't want to be a Sharks winger, you would never get the ball" and last night that was so true. In the second half especially, the ball didn't go much further then the centre on the left hand side. I've never really noticed how many inside balls we throw but the view I got seeing the guys from behind in attack made it look so obvious. Robson look like he made a nice run across the field, only to turn it inside to someone else. Bloody infuriating.
Carney inside ball to bukuya time after time

We are embarising in attack. Sides know that we can't get around them and defend accordingly. We struggle to stop yardage against us. Good news is that wife has started to talk to me again. Most of it is abusive, but hey it's a start!

Talk is overrated Tank
B&B I've had a top day and she thinks its worrying me. ! I've got this covered.
Side note -- went to a local game of footy today and heard a bloke saying Pomeroy was a top class centre. Initially I thought he was taking the piss but realized he was serious. Took all my strength not to bottle the ****ing retard!

Why is it we can't beat the knights ( bar our Golden pt win this year). That's 3 years in a row they have beaten us at home.?

Wade and Carney tried it against the Knights on the weekend but it got shut down - the Knights had done their homework on that one. You can only do it so many times in that particular location of the field and then the defence can see it for what it is.

At least they tried it - most of the other plays were dead set uninspiring. Our main problem is our inability to score from inside their quarter which we can't seem to do. The Sharks need to spread it wide and go from side to side in quick succession - but Gallen will get in the way. Our 5th tackle options and our lack of ball control are two other glaring weaknesses.

Carney inside ball to bukuya time after time

How many times did you and I predict that last night? Or the inside ball from Robson to Gibbs or Taga.

That is what's so frustrating. If we, as mere mortals can see that it's so predictable miles away in the stands why can't our coaching staff see this?

We really need to cut out going for the fancy play in every tackle.

I lost count of how many times we tried offloading the ball when there wasn't any support players in sight.

On a Saturday winter's night when the ground is bound to be greasy from the dew, continuously offloading like we tried to do was bound to backfire.

We really need to start playing smarter football, limit the offloads and stop trying to constantly go for the inside pass all the time.

In your head, rent free
i think its time for gards at fullback and flash and beau on the wings... thats the best way forward.

we have given flash his fullback money, he deserves a pay rise, but gards is an attacking spark, and then we would have 2 class wingers

Did you not see morris' pass to feefs for the first try?

And Isaac winning 2 penalties, we definitely need a 500k hooker so we can complain about another position.
