that was a sad affair.

we started really well, the ball was moving around and we were going forward.a couple of errors and a bad call and we lose all hope.the 2nd half was demoralising.

i really hope flanno starts to experiment soon as i'm losing interest in this years team.give some of the young blokes a run-get kelly(halves), mannah and gordo back, ***** fergo off and get rid of tautai too(he's the only player that gets a response out of me at the moment-he *****s me to tears)

Porter was standing at 5/8 a lot and Barrett was playing half. I think Barrett played well.

I think you better wath the replay - painful as it would be Barrett was terrible - soon as he's gone the better

Gardner is one of our only bright sparks. Then there's Fergo, who's most likely leaving after this season, and Isaac Gordon who for some reason can't grab a spot over Covell.

I haven't missed a game for a very, very long time. It is torture, I am watching something I love slowly die.

Spot on mate. Gardner is our only positive from this year. Id hate to say this, but if we keep going the way we are, we may see more players do a fergo.

Well watching last nights game we were in the game at the half time break, and had a few chances in the second. I liked the way we threw the ball around, we have missed that this year, we actually held on to the ball, had a good completion rate which we have missed all year, so that is a positive.

You can see it was a different game plan, it wasn't our usual forward dominating performance, we threw the ball out wide and threw it around, which i enjoyed, we needed that at the start of the year.

Gallen does too much, i love what he does and love him as a player, but our halves need to be more envolved, some times where Gal took a hit up the halves should have took that play and used the ball.

Covell was good under the high ball last night, he is slow for sure, but if we had some one else on that wing would they have been as safe, or would they have let more tries in than what Covell did?

I like the idea of Kelly coming in, but if you are going to bring these young blokes in, you can't put all this pressure on them to win us these games, you can just say to that this year is over, it is time to just go out throw the ball around and grab some first grade experience and prepare for next year, i mean how can a half in this team go out and play the game, thinking, will i get a run next week if i drop this ball, or bomb this kick, i mean that is a lot of pressure to be running around with out there...

We really need to do something about our play around the ruck. We were mauled there last night. We had lazy markers right through the centre of the field and got steamrolled time and again at dummy half and when we did have an opportunity for our own dummy half runs we did f*** all. After watching the game again today, you could have deadset got a protractor and drawn a circle of emptyness around our ruck at every tackle...terrible! Tighten it up Flanno!!!!!!!!

I was at the game.....I don't blame people for not turning up if they put in an effort like that. The only way fans are going to come back is if they win games, simple as that.

Seymour makes amends at Shark Park
Updated August 9, 2010 08:09:00

Warriors coach Ivan Cleary knew the pressure was on former Cronulla playmaker Brett Seymour when he made his return to Shark Park on Saturday night.

Seymour had the same feeling, but it had little to do with playing against his former club and rather a desire to make amends for some indifferent displays, which had left the Warriors' top eight hopes in the balance.

He responded with a top-shelf performance in his side's 37-10 win, and while the victory maintained the Warriors' grip on eighth spot, Seymour knows they will need to improve if they are to be serious title challengers.

"We're going to have to get a lot better if we're going to go anywhere in this comp," Seymour said.

"You want to build momentum and winning does that, you look at the run Parramatta got on last year and I think the Titans are shaping up like that this year."

Asked about returning to Shark Park, where he had three indifferent seasons before being shown the door for one alcohol-related indiscretion too many midway through last year, Seymour played down the significance.

"I'm just happy to be playing at the moment and things pan out the way they do," he said.

"I'm just happy to be at the Warriors now."

Cleary says the manner in which his two halves responded to the previous week's loss to the Titans - with five-eighth James Maloney securing a personal haul of 17 points against the Sharks - gave him confidence heading into the final four matches of the regular season.

"It was probably special for them because last week they probably put their hand up for a performance a bit less than what we hoped for," he said.

"With Buster (Seymour) in particular coming back here, there was a fair bit of pressure on him this week - that's even more reason to be happy they controlled things as well."

Cleary says Jerome Ropati is unlikely to return from a groin injury against Newcastle next weekend, though his replacement Joel Moon did a tremendous job in his absence against the Sharks.

How good was that interview? I like Flanno more and more. If you are looking for a good spin on that rubbish effort on Saturday night, that is it. I like the fact that he didn't just chop into the ref's. Sure there were a few 50/50 that didn't go our way, but if you look at it we just dropped our heads and let the Warriors have their way with us.

I will be keen to see what Flanno does this week. He will make some changes for sure and that is good.

In regards to a draft I like the idea. Look at the AFL it is working well. Each club also has a scholarship programme in which young kids who are in the local area are tied into a their club. These kids are excluded from the national draft. I think a system like that would work well for the NRL. Time to look at it.
