For all this to work the crowd has to support them as well. I know things aren't too crash hot at the moment, but it will get better.

I BELIEVE.........

This is what some people don't get, it doesn't all happen by magic. I am sick of people who live nearby and are Sharks fans but don't get to the games until we start winning a few.

I was at the game tonight and I can't deny it, it wasn't pretty. There were some calls that went against us - true, I did not think the Moon try was a try but certainly wasn't surprised they gave it. Yes, Steve Lyons called play on with that "strip" by Barret and Fergo would have been away and we would be back at 14-12.

Both teams were inside the 10 tonight but I am still amazed at how long the refs will allow teams to lie all over our players. This is one part of the game I am getting sick of. As soon as we get one or two tries behind we start pushing the pass too quick and our ball control goes out the window. We need a cool head & experience in the half back role and no matter how good a player Baz is, he is really more a ball runner and not the playmaker. Scotty Porter is probably a nice guy but aside from his kicking game, which I don't remember seeing him kick once tonight, he is not the solution to our half back problems.

A disappointing night, but wouldn't it be good to see them turn it around against the Roosters next Friday night. The media will all be saying, Roosters by a truckload and will not give us a chance in hell. Do yourselves a favour folks, get down to Shark Park next Friday night, I reckon you will be in for one hell of a surprise!!

Well if we do - how do we get them to show it ?? ( apart from Gardner who does continually)

Now SharkBoy - Steve Prefontaine had talent

Gards gets to touch the ball. Collis, toops ect would share their talents more if they had more opportunties no doubt.

Comes back to our halves/Gal Hog/Game plan issues.

I'm all for giving Ports a go if it will improve us. He had a good game last week and deserved to retain his spot. I'm just over people bagging guys like Smith, Ports and whoever else has a bad day in the office. It sucks Ports didn't aim up tonight.

And yeah I'm king ****wit

After tonight Flanno will have to make some changes. He has given blokes 3 games in a row and some of them just are not up to it. I would like to see Ation get a start and more game time.

We looked flat tonight after a couple of decisions went against us. We need some fresh blood in the team.

He did squid! One of my heroes growing up.

And I don't know how we get them to show it. I just hope Flanno has ideas

Obviously not a talented driver, but then I never saw his golf game.

Oohh Snap.

I reckon If I lived nearby I would be at nearly every home game regardless of our form I still love watching them every week and live is even better (unless we play in form teams like manly, storm ect and we clock off it's sometimes a bit rough so can't say I love watching that AHEM). But still good to support the boys regardless at home!

Maybe it's some of the Shire folk who are more over this team atm than those fans who are not locals?

ffs people surely Northies doesn't get going until after 10pm anyway and by that time Buster has long been kicked out and dropped off at the mall so you are even safer!:drunk:D

I wouldnt say nuthings changed. We are more commited and trying more in attack. The shackles have been broken to a degree. Results are the same (loss) but what we see on the park is not exactly the same as rickys rabble.

Some initial observations...

1. Gallen is good, a champion etc etc etc HOWEVER, he needs to learn to SHARE. If it means literally calling up each forward by name and saying "your hit up" then he must do it. Yes he leads by example but he needs to learn that leadership is about empowering the others around you to reach their full potential. He needs to help them get organised and he needs to let others have a turn at running up the ball. Sounds very primary school, but it is a problem with a simple solution! While he is doing everything , the other forwards don't learn, they become disorganised and lazy.

2. Apart from being coathangered in the first 10 minutes Collis didn't see much ball. HOWEVER, he worked his butt off in defense. While the two stooges on the left need their point leaking dykes permanently jammed, Collis has been incrediable in recent weeks. Plus he has had to deal with Flake, Isaac, then Flake again after things were looking good with Isaac. That try saving tackle on Ho Hi (?) when he came out of the line to nail him was fricken AWESOME! Also did a great impression of Bandage Bear in the second half (he is a bleeder)LOL.

3. If we ever needed proof that Flake is on the outer with the team, we got it tonight. Run ins with Collis, Gards, Barrett and filthy looks from Gallen and Dougo. enjoy Henson Park buddy...if he has a go at one more person for not giving him the ball, for not letting him take the bomb, for wanting to lay blame on others I am deadset going to do a pitch invasion and throw a massive cream pie in his smug head!

4. The crowd - people started leaving 45 minutes into the game. Now I'm sure that people have things on, it's cold, it's Saturday night etc etc BUT seriously how demoralising is that for our boys?? The Club need to seriously get people into the games and roll out free for Under 16s for the rest of the season - get families back to the footy, even if we loose it's a cheap outing and the boys need the support. No fans = No Club. The leagues club need to kick in with two for one meal deals on game nights or show your ticket to tonights game and get a free drink at the bar afterwards. For the rest of the season stuff needs to happen to get people out and supporting the team.

Firstly nice post.

1. If this were to be done I wonder if gal has those basic organising/leadership skills to make it happen or if he just doesnt trust others to do as good a job as him.

2. I think he is strong but I have seen some missed tackles and misreads from him in defense as well, like tonight occasionally. Could say that about any player though...

3. Really? I am assuming you saw the game live and got to see player interactions as I had FOX vision and felt they supported Blake more than in the last few weeks from what I saw on TV that is. Tell me more about these run ins you saw! Decent performance from the dog tonight, flanno must be giving him smackos or something!

4. Yup 45 min mark is too early to leave. Game was not over by any means. Sharks can sometimes score quick points somehow but having no crowd doesnt help the motivation. Also yes club needs to do something to provide good value to punters in these dying rounds of the season.

Drag Queen territory.
Maybe I can get Adam Blair kicked out in the process. I knew his brothers and I have a gift of creating situations when the alcohol is flowing. Just ask that donkey in Tijuana. Long, long story.

Well, that was ****ed. If that is the best side we can dish up and our only signing for next year is Graham, next year will be the same, if not worse. Jeremy Smith won't make a difference either.

We need a 7, quite clear that Porter while a great guy, is utter ****. Did nothing. Covell, if he is one of our top wingers, that will do me. Defence is non existent and he looks like he is running on the spot. While Issac has his weaknesses, he has speed in bucket loads and can cover his mistakes a lot.

Crowd was ****(well looked like it on tv, didn't see the actual crowd numbers) and really, it isn't a suprise. Besides the die hard fans how are you meant to convience someone to watch that, nonetheless pay for it.

Nothing is looking good, I can't get a positive.
