Well, that was ****ed. If that is the best side we can dish up and our only signing for next year is Graham, next year will be the same, if not worse. Jeremy Smith won't make a difference either.

We need a 7, quite clear that Porter while a great guy, is utter ****. Did nothing. Covell, if he is one of our top wingers, that will do me. Defence is non existent and he looks like he is running on the spot. While Issac has his weaknesses, he has speed in bucket loads and can cover his mistakes a lot.

Crowd was ****(well looked like it on tv, didn't see the actual crowd numbers) and really, it isn't a suprise. Besides the die hard fans how are you meant to convience someone to watch that, nonetheless pay for it.

Nothing is looking good, I can't get a positive.

your not getting a positive cause your only seeing and talking the negative :)
simple as that

Crowd according to the DT was 7510. Not sure what our record low is at Shark Park but that must be close.

I can think of a positive for you mate. Your keyboard still works.;)

The figures always seem to get fudged. I'm sure someone who was at the ground will probably say it looked less than 7000!

Even on tv you could see and hear that it was pretty empty.

I think our previous home game was around 8500 and that would have been when we still had a mathematical chance of making the playoffs.

If the NRL had a draft system we would have number one pick and could have the next genuine superstar at cronulla next year. I wish the NRL would adopt a draft.

Spot on mate - I was there last night and came away from our game with the opinion we area a very low side. We desperately in need of a 7,6,3,4, - our backline is a disaster - Trent Barrett is no longer interested. I recommend we have a huge cleanout. With crowd levels of 7k our future is in the hands of our new board and Shane Flannagan to recruit some TOP LINE players.

im over it. freezing cold 6 bucks a beer, and getting flogged.
i couldnt cope with a third bad season.
i think our fullback needs to stay out of the attaking line and stay at fullback,
sorry luke but ive never liked the way you leave your wing wide open,
its time for you.

More alarming was the fact that Lewis, Smith AND Kelly all stood out above Porter and collected wins in their respective comps even though each of them were playing against the competition favorites and the First Graders were playing against a fringe eight team. Yikes!

that game was the highlight yestaday for me,
that nsw cup side i reckon would have beaten our first graders,
cuthbo is still a useless fat **** needs to learn how to run the ball straight and hard insted of doing that shimmy he does with his feet before getting tackled, and needs to learn how to hold the ball,
i heard gordan was dropped due to a death in his family last week

i left the game with 20min to go to bet traffic very dissapointed with the 1st graders

although both blokes are 'nice guys' and give their all, porter and covell shouldn't play first grade for us again. enough is enough.

its not like we're winning games, why not try something new? kelly needs to play from the bench, and why not give lewis or townsend a go in the halves if they don't want to play smith? so what we might lose again as opposed to what we've been doing with the current guys?

there are some ok signs, but ffs covell doesn't like the collision anymore on his tryline and it cost us 2 tries yesterday and 2 tries against vidot in the canberra game - this is probably down to apprehension due to his knee injury.

I don't care who they pick (in the halves), but they need to stick with them a bit more. Too many changes there this year.

eyezak in for Covell.

do we give kelly a run in the halves to give him a taste and see what hes got
I'd say wait until the last 2 games of the year. If he gets brought back now, everyone will be saying sack him by Round 25 if he doesn't produce miracles.

I don't like throwing people under the bus, but here's the reality of last nights situation: Baz and Porter just don't work well as a halves tag team. Baz is at his very best when he has time on the ball and Porter just doesn't provide that. He hangs onto the ball that second longer then most other halfbacks and looks indecisive most of the time.

I'm not sure throwing Townsend or Lewis into what is clearly a no-win situation is the way to go, but changes must be made. I would like to see either Smith/Kelly brought in to heal the gaping wound. Watching Kelly last night made me think that with the right tutoring he is a bonafide First Grader in the making.

Just saying...

Very dissapointing effort from the Sharks,
I agree with the other poster (sorry I read responces without taking note of who wrote it) byt the sharks nsw cup team won against the top of the table dogs team, convincingly,
I think a magor reshuffle of the teams is in order.

Drag Queen territory.

I've been a fan of this idea for years. The fact is, Gallop's argument against it - that not having a draft allows clubs to develop "local heroes" - carries much less weight these days as more and more clubs sign young juniors from different clubs/areas.

Even so, some sort of arrangement could be worked out where a team can be allowed to protect one player per year or something like that.

I'm really starting to get the ****s as we create so many chances down pom's side but cov is so slow he get's about 15 metres where if that was gordon he would be of in the clear.
