Origin ruins the second half of the season. It takes until finals time to recover and by then it's too late for some teams. Plus the season is too long full stop. I love watching my footy but too many meaningless games and players can't maintain intensity and energy so we end up with sub par games anyway. Canberra benefitted by having very few if any Origin players this year?

We can't drop Carney as that means Robbo & Chad together, no thanks.

Yeah I mostly agree with you, but I was at the game in the burns stand today and I watched him the whole first half on our side of the field and he looked disinterested and actually weak. Guys just ran through him, and when he got the ball he couldn't wait to get rid of it. He wasn't even trying, it was weird. He hardly broke a sweat. Totally agree about the dominate half, and not sure robson is it long term.

The team looked the best when Morris was on the field. Flanno said after that they may have been burning the candle at both ends with a few guys and I reckon he's right. They might even consider resting some guys next week, for the sake of the rest of the year.

Carney would be flat and it seems we have become overly dependant on him. Need Robbo to step up and take some pressure off.

If Graham is injuried as well that doesn't help our ball playing options either.

If Flanno feels that some players are flat I am sure it will be managed. That would be why Smith and Gal haven't be rushed back.

first game i have walked out before fulltime since the 99 final. very poor effort across the park. carney and robson just looked like they only met at the kickoff. i noticed he was doing way too much of the long kicks which i think is more todds role. just a game i want to forget.

some of the positional play was rank ay. i remember one player where Graham was doing his thing, darting up and across, pulling in defenders, little shimmies with the ball and where was Best? right there breathing down his neck. wtf is that? of course Graham couldn't offload it to you, you were virtually up in his ass!

Best is past his use by date too old and seems dodgy in defence, we ned a centre/winger overhaul, dont care who goes just need an overhaul?

Didn't see the game, but the highlights weren't pretty. Forget it and move on I say - the team has been good enough all year to get to this position and will be better next week wit Gal and Jez back.

From memory...

Chad/Robson: 2/2 = 100%
Carney/Graham: 0/2 = 0%
Robson/Graham: 0/1 = 0%
Robson/Carney: 8.5/13 = 65%

Reading into that, surely Chad/Carney is the one we need to go with.

Chad/Carney is the future, I doubt Flanno has the balls to change up the halves this late in the season. That will be the 2013 pairing though.

I pray to dog he does, because Robson is not doing his job, tough decisions need to be made, sometimes i think some of the decisions in team management are made due to friendship or pushes from Gallen, but are not in the best interest of the team, i mean would pom still be around if he wasnt one of Gals best mates? Not to sure on that one

Pom survives because he does enough to survive. Whenever he seems certain to be dropped he has a good game, or a good season or whatever.

If we had a better squad in general we could have someone like Pomeroy without issue. Most teams have players that are a bit like that. I mean even Carney is like that. It's rare you get a 100% safe player that also has some attacking spark.
