If he was able to be on the cycle machine it pretty much clears any serious injury. Maybe be out for 1 at the most id say.

Baby bronco's next week then the struggling roosters and then a bye so a good chance for another 6 pts in the next few games! (Only 6 out of the 8 atm)

I saw exactly what happened, his knee hit one of the Raiders in the head, can’t remember which one but the Raider got taken off early?

Out of all upcoming games the Roosters is the one I’m most worried about?

why?

on form we should beat roosters easy, i am more worried about broncos cause gallen will be either playing for blues, barret also good chance of playing for blues and toopu may also be missing cause of injury

Probably because I can’t remember the last time we beat the Roosters?

We always struggle playing the depleted broncos, However last year they had players like Eastwood, Carroll, Stagg, Ennis, Kemp, Boyd who were still playing club footy for them.

This year they is nobody mentioned in that list, and no Lockyer, Folau, Hodges, Thaiday & Wallace.

However, they still have alot of strike power with Yoh Yeh Michaels and Winterstein. Corey Parker is in career best form and fast men around the ruck like PJ Marsh could find holes in our defence.

Lets hope toops mannah and snowden all come through ok, we'll need all hands on deck

Barrett to make shock State of Origin return?

Sharks veteran five-eighth Trent Barrett is tipped to make a stunning comeback to State of Origin football when NSW names its team tonight for a must-win game two.

Barrett impressed in Cronulla’s thrilling 24-22 win over Canberra on Sunday – and came out on top of incumbent Blues No.6 Terry Campese.

Campese was expected to be the man most under pressure after the Blues’ 28-18 loss in Origin I, but the man most likely to take his place – Newcastle’s Jarrod Mullen – hasn’t been entirely convincing in the past fortnight as the Knights suffered back-to-back defeats.

Instead, Barrett – whose Sharks have now won three straight to climb off the bottom of the ladder – is now considered a genuine chance to secure an Origin recall, four years after his last game in the sky blue.

“Trent is an Origin footy player,” Sharks coach Ricky Stuart said after Sunday’s win.

“Origin teams… not necessarily the best football players are picked. You don’t pick the best players, you pick the best Origin footy players.

“There’s a big difference. There’s a huge difference.

“It’s not like an Australian team, where you pick the best of the best. Origin football is the toughest football you can play and you need the toughest people.

“This bloke has been outstanding for our footy team. His line-break assists are up around the best in the game and that’s what you need in Origin. They won’t have much of a decision, I think he’ll get picked.”

Former Dragons star Barrett returned to the NRL this season after two seasons in the English Super League.

You don’t pick the best players, you pick the best Origin footy players. Trent is an Origin footy player. Sharks coach Ricky Stuart
