Anyone for barbecued chicken?

Absolutely sensational game and absolutely brilliant try by Nathan Gardner.

Hopefully now we can replicate the good form and beat the Dragqueens in two weeks.

COME ON YOU SHARKIES!!!!!!!!

i know he has played some crackers but on saturday he just looked faster, more mobile.
If he plays like that every week from here on in we will make the 8.

Roosters fans are taking this pretty hard..

Ashamed Rooster of Easts Posted at 11:26 PM June 05, 2010

I am a long-standing Easts fanatic of 44 years. The performance I witnessed tonight was an insult to the most famous jersey in Rugby League. I take my hat off to the young Sharks - your mob have guts and heart - unlike any of our rabble this year. I am returning my season ticket on Monday, along with all my Roosters jerseys - and demanding that Brian Smith is sacked!

Lol. I bet he wont.

He was happy to sit through the wooden spoon last season, watch Willie carry on, Anasta play fullback etc, but one loss this year has just pushed him over the edge. :ridiculed

Loosen the noose, big fella. It aint that bad.

With Snowden being talked up constantly Dougie is by far the most under rated prop in the NRL.

NRL Talking Points: round 13

Six key Talking Points to discuss from round 13 of the NRL premiership

CRONULLA EASYBEATS NO MORE:

It may be coincidence, but Cronulla have played close to a finals level of football ever since reports suggested Ricky Stuart would depart the club. It started when a Daily Telegraph story linked Stuart to a Wests Tigers switch on the morning of the Sharks' game against Parramatta in round 11 - which they later won 22-18. Since Stuart confirmed his exit the following week, the Sharks put in a committed display in losing to Brisbane and smashed Sydney Roosters in a style they have rarely displayed in recent times. Whether the Sharks are attempting to send Stuart off in style, or impress incoming coach Shane Flanagan, the one thing which appears certain is they are no longer easybeats in 2010.

LATEST COMMENTS FROM FANS:

Bulldog Dan says: CRONULLA SHARKS + NATHAN GARDNER = SOLID WIN

Anonymous says: They've got a lot of talent in both the forwards and in the backline. Barrett is in great form and showing consistency. Smith is coming good at halfback and will only improve playing along side Barrett for the rest of the yr. The forwards led by Gallen are firing and it has always only been a matter of time til the penny dropped over in the shire. Now it has, don't be surprised if they have a back end run to the finals like the eels did last yr. Someone like Newcastle could do a lot worse than to sign Trent Barrett and Ricky Stuart for 2011. This would solidify Mullens game which hasn't been the same since he didn't come out and produce an Andrew Johns like performance on debut for NSW against a red hot QLD side. The expectations on him were very unfair that year. Add Buderus to that and they are looking very dangerous. Barrett has a good 2 yrs left in him at the top level. If he and Ricky are both gone next yr it will be very hard for them to adjust. Personally I'd love to see him back at St George Illawarra partnering Soward in the halves.

Craig says: "I dont want any Sharks player picked for State of Origin . Do you think they care and Im sure they want to win as many games as they can to try and make the 8. Pick players from teams in top half of ladder. Leave us alone."

Brian Smith fumes at sloppy, lazy Roosters - Herald Sun

Brian Smith fumes at sloppy, lazy Roosters
Adrian Warren
June 07, 2010 12:00AM

SYDNEY Roosters coach Brian Smith says enough is enough from his up and down charges following Saturday's heavy loss to Cronulla.

The Sharks' 42-18 win at the SFS continued the Roosters' habit of following a good performance with a below-par one, coming just five days after a come-from-behind victory on the Gold Coast.

And Smith said the lack of consistency which has seen the Roosters fail to win back-to-back games since opening their season with two victories must stop.

"I think we've shown both ourselves and probably everybody else that on a number of occasions this year our best has been pretty good, but not doing that often enough is not going to sit well with anybody, it certainly doesn't sit well with me," Smith said.

"I will be looking for some answers [today] as well from the guys about what they are feeling.

"There's enough of those sort of second-rate performances, or probably third-rate in some cases, this year. We need to find out exactly as best we can and as quickly as we can how we can turn that around."

Roosters forward Daniel Conn revealed Smith didn't give the team a massive post-match spray.

"He was pretty quiet, but he still manages to get the point across and we've just got to have a good look at ourselves," Conn said. "'We lost a lot of respect."

Conn said the Roosters' biggest need for improvement was their mental approach.

"Attitude is probably the big thing at the moment ... we've just got to all turn up on the day."

Smith described the Roosters as sloppy and lazy, adding they failed to do some of the basics well.

He conceded they might have been a little flat following the turnaround from the Titans clash, but veteran prop Jason Ryles said using that as an excuse was "just crap".s and the players "just didn't turn up".

It's still closer to BBQ than frying sausages on an outdoor hot plate.

During the foxtel coverage, they showed the rooters coaching box every 5 minutes, They didnt show Sticky or Flano once, they allways show Sticky getting excited,
Was he there with the sharks, or was he getting ready to sign for the coaching gig with the rooters next year?

Just watched the highlights. Very satisfying. Loved Fergo's shoulder into Mini which had him launched into the cameraman, haha.
