LOL @ all the butthurt $ouffs fans.

The amount of whingeing from all the butthurt $ouffs fans is absolutely unbelievable.

The way they're carrying on anyone would've been forgiven they'd been robbed.

They were bloody lucky to not to have been penalised a lot more than they did with some of the disgraceful tackles they got away with.

Sam Burgess was very lucky not to have been sent for that crusher tackle on Fifita.

I haven't seen such a bunch of butthurt sore losers in my life.

We were the better side on the night and the butthurt $ouffs fans have to suck it up now.

As for them saying Fifita is a grub, maybe they should be looking at Issac Luke and Sam Burgess before pointing fingers.

Yep. That is what I was seeing from a quick look at Facebook and Twitter. "we wuz wobbed" kind of stuff. The only thing Souths fans should complain about was Bukuya's tackle on Sutton. So what if the penalty count was 11-3? It isn't the refs fault if you keep giving away penalties for being ill-disciplined, he doesn't have to square that up.

Enough of the whinging though. Still incredibly proud of last nights win. I hope the squad enjoyed it.

This.

I really don't see why people have some kind of expectation that penalty counts should be even. Players should be penalised when they breach the rules. There are generally waaay to many square ups just for the sake of it. It is stupid, unnecessary and backward.

Agree Slide, but you could bet your bottom dollar that if we lost a game with a penalty count of 11-3 against us most of us would be whingeing.

We dont often lose penalty counts. We get penalised early in a game but tend to have good control through out the game. If Souths didnt keep dropping the ball they would of had more time with it and less penalties. Simple.

They refs should of put Bukuya's tackle on report but its not our fault they didnt. Maybe they were harsh on Souths but if you cop a couple of penalties in a row you need to change what are you doing. Get up quicker, get on side, leave the head alone. There are simple things you can do during a game to stop the penalties.

To me Souths looks a little arrogant expecting their rehersed moves to work and not wanting to adjust their game to the conditions, when its wet you have to be willing to get dirty to get hurt, take the collision front on with no footwork. You get tired quicker and the game gets hard. We wanted it more then they did so we won.

From where I was sitting it looked like Wade wanted to take the 2 but Carney really wanted to go for the try. Could be wrong though

yeah, watching on tv it looked like wade told todd to go for the 2 but todd just kicked for touch anyway lol

The beauty of the north western eastern is the fact that it is never the one spot it can be adjusted to suit the needs of the crew.

That explains it then

0/3

Obvis my double bluff worked, Rabbits looked at this and wre like "we gotta watch this!" and was too focus on stopping this thanb stopping Sharks.

our welcome Sharks.

Robbo did throw a dummy before putting in that grubber kick to the in goal before he was hit late. We were all screaming penalty try! Lol. Got a repeat set out of it at least.

It was the sort of game that taking 2 points in might have made sense. We did this once in the second half from right in front and the 2 points was the difference in the win but it was a smart move not a negative one. Other instances we took the tap and really liked the confidence this displayed. We never have Souths much chance to relax.

During the telecast they interviewed Gal. He said they should have taken the 2.

Thanks for we were sitting on the opposite side and couldn't really see much with the rain. we were yelling out take the 2.

We definitely needed to take the 2, 30 metres out. Going into the half at 14-6 would of been huge in those conditions.

It's pretty easy for Gal to be watching the game from the sideline and say that they should have taken the two, retrospectively, after we didn't score. What else was he going to say? Haha

Thats right.
In last nights conditions it might have been the better option but Gallen also plays a negative brand of football and always opts for the two points regardless of the situation. He seems to think you can just hold teams with 2- point leads with your defence. Never works. You gotta score points.

Gal always takes the two though...he is used to grinding out the win because in the last few years we only average about two tries a game. In this case I agree they should have taken the two but it was nice to see that Toddy was willing to take that chance as we do need more spontaneity in the team.

But the reality remains - if we disregard penalty goals, due to the deadly accurate kicking of Reynolds, if we score the same number of tries as Souths then they win as they are more likely to convert their tries than we are...
