Err Feki & Jono were pretty safe and strong tonight or did I miss something? Can't expect them to carve up with only one half in the team and his name ends in holdsworth

I was thinking the same. Actually, all our outside backs were safe.

If anything, that game showed how desperately we need a quality 9 in our side. Our sets of six were so flat and dull. No rolling over the advantage line at all, which could of been done easily with a 9 that promotes the ball forward from dummy half before passing it to the 1st receiver. All the best attacking 9's in the game do it and without one we wont be a serious contender.

Especially since we dont have a ball playing fullback who can truly link between the forwards and outside backs. Gordon is a ball runner and without Carney, we have no true playmakers or genuine ball players.

Our attack pains me beyond belief.

mate u know ur ****.
The hooker position in our team is a good test of peoples football knowledge.
Our current hookers cant even engage the markers let alone the A defenders.
Just put Lichaa on the bench u ****tards

I feel sorry for feki tbh , he plays outside Wright who I dont rate but feki seems to be a very strong runner.i wont write him off while he is playin outside wright as for ayshford he needs abit of time to learn Carneys game

Good point. I see what you mean. We really need to move away from our flat style of attack and stand deeper so that players can run onto passes at speed and have the opposition backpedalling and exposing more holes. Feki would benefit from this.

Unfortunately we dished up the flat style of attack all game
which means we have been training in that mode throughout the off season
which means the coaching team aren't going to deviate from this plan anytime soon
which means we won't be scoring many points
which means we will continue to try and grind out wins through trying to stop the opposition scoring more points than we do
which means more ulcers for me....sigh

Which means we need a broom swept through the coaching staff or we're putting up with this rubbish for the length of flanagans next contract.

Wade has all the skills but it seems none of the vision to be a half. If Carney isn't fit they have to play Morris at 7, in order to play our only other 5/8 at 6. Holdsworth can play 6 and 7, but no one else at the club can play 6 who is ready for that responsibility. Morris has good energy and can surely replicate what Robbo does.

The bonus of this too is we get to start sorting out our problem at hooker.

If this is another year of persisting with the same set up that isn't working I hope, as an investment in the future, that we lose enough games to force the coachs hand.

Made 5m a run, got smoked every time, and played the worst out of our backs. Horrible player

Got smoked every time? The only one smoking is you bro, he didn't put a foot wrong.

yeh he did. if you are happy with a centre making 38m off 7 runs, go for it. probably need to lay off the weights and chicken as it is cloouding your already small lack of knowledge on the game bro

I agree that hookers nowadays should be drawing the first marker to take them out of tackling our ball runner but I this was not the only problem night with getting our usual momentum.

1. The titans moved up quickly from their defensive line to shut down our forwards. It was a smart play from them by shutting down our biggest attributes, that being forwards rolling straight up the middle. The Titans defensive line was unbelievable quick to move up, that quick that alot of the time they were offiside (Dave Taylor in particularly, how he / they didn't get penalised is beyond me.

2. Our forwards receive the ball from the hooker a good 2 metres behind the advantage line, this is amateur stuff, really amateur.. We need to be receiving the ball on the advantage line to make good metres. How many times last night did the Titans throw a flat ball from hooker? Almost every time, smart. Sure this opens up the chances of throwing a forward pass but that's where timing and good hookers overcomes this problem.
