watch the classy 9's, they yell at their forwards, usually 2 of them, to stand in front of the first receiver to make it difficult to swarm them. we dont practice this at all

That's why I want a new coaching staff, we just don't do basic stuff every other team does like putting pressure on kickers for example.

How was the big fella last night? I imagine he was getting cranky with the refs, maybe even some expletives?

I was certainly cranky on the inside HB but as Evertonshark says, I just decided after a while that we weren't going to get the rub of the green and just thought I'd laugh at the situation rather than raising my blood pressure. The old biddy behind me is the one that loves to yell abuse at the refs. She calls them cheats, liars, and gets pretty abusive. Sometimes its fun to listen to, other times it's downright embarrassing!

On the Kelly no try, I sat there and said over and over again "It's a bloody try, how many more times do you need to look at it?" and this biddy behind me keeps saying, "He's lost it, it's no try you cheat!"
I was hoping she would shut up and was ready to turn around and tell her its a try when the video ref flashed up "no try". Geez, how embarrassing. We got terrible decisions last night but the Titans should have had that try awarded.

The refereeing was shocking. They should just get rid of the referees completely and the players should just self officiate, like a game in the park. I honestly don't see how it could be any worse...

Actually the amazing part of last night was listening to Bill Harrigan on the way home on MMM. He said the refereeing, apart from the Kelly no try, was pretty good, gave them 7 and a half out of 10. No mention at all of the Kelly intercept try, they seemed to accept Zillman's try was legit and Harrigan even said he thought the 10 metres was good for both sides. FMD! He blew up at them for the Kelly no try though. He could not believe it wasn't awarded.

Forgot to mention luke Douglas was in the club late when everyone left and got a photo and a chat for about 10 minutes or so.

Yeah, I congratulated Dougie before the game and said his 3 years was up at the Titans and when is he coming back.

The look on his team mates who heard was priceless.

Best thing about the game was the pizza's they were selling, very nice.
