The refereeing was shocking. They should just get rid of the referees completely and the players should just self officiate, like a game in the park. I honestly don't see how it could be any worse...

no refs, no rules, whichever team fights the best gets to re-write history

I was certainly cranky on the inside HB but as Evertonshark says, I just decided after a while that we weren't going to get the rub of the green and just thought I'd laugh at the situation rather than raising my blood pressure. The old biddy behind me is the one that loves to yell abuse at the refs. She calls them cheats, liars, and gets pretty abusive. Sometimes its fun to listen to, other times it's downright embarrassing!

On the Kelly no try, I sat there and said over and over again "It's a bloody try, how many more times do you need to look at it?" and this biddy behind me keeps saying, "He's lost it, it's no try you cheat!"
I was hoping she would shut up and was ready to turn around and tell her its a try when the video ref flashed up "no try". Geez, how embarrassing. We got terrible decisions last night but the Titans should have had that try awarded.

Dropped the ball a fraction of an inch before the line, then he rolled it over. Correct decision. There was one other good video review that produced the right outcome but the rest of the night was a colossal cluster **** of clueless reffing. Do they even know what a forward pass is or has that rule been changed as well? I counted at least 4 obvious forward passes from the Titans one of them leading to a try against us. The touchie is standing in-line but too pussy to make a call?

Sorry to bump this thread after a disappointing first game but I thought Sharp summed up our performance well. We were brave but stupid. The team did well to hold them out and I thought the Titans should have won by more than 6. I was excited before the game but I couldn't help but feel flat after the Titans took the winning lead. Lack of a crowd didn't help. Hopefully this will turn around soon.
