Just watched the game again.

i hope people, like the commentators dont believe our season is all doom and gloom.
I saw a team out there with bags of potential! and direction.... for 10 minutes.
But my point is, its first game, first time the team plays 80 minutes together. Alot of new combos. And we definently shot our self in the foot. We showed some flair and excitement in small doses we rarely see, and some good plays. We still need to work on our kicking game. want to see more cross field kicks to our wingers in attacking zone. And better understanding between our backs defensively.

We just literally droped the ball way too much, which all turned into a try. And the Gardner/Wright understanding cost us with Fergo owning us from kicks. The last 3 tries, we just gave up putting the defensive effort in.

for me i want to see the exact team go out against dragons, with bukuya the exception in for broderick. Wouldnt mind seeing Vave back too.

Hey Nostradamus! How'd you do on the tough one??!!:lmao (Haha, someone had to do it!)

it was the only money i lost at the tab all weekend ;)

for the record

i had
roosters 7-12
cowboys 1-7
canberra 19+
newcastle 13+
and tigers 1-12

80% strike rate for this season rookie gambler!

I vote running the same team again except bukuya in for wright, Vave in for Mannah, M wright to centres best to the wing. Give M Wright another chance this week and if he still isn't up to standard drop him, move Best back to the centres and put I Gordon on the Wing. Who's with me?

And why would that be? Because you didnt write it so it cannot be correct? Or because you are a tipping demon and know the scores already?

because wholesale changes are not needed just yet.

bakuya for brod is the only change needed at the moment, give the team time to gel, no point changing every week when we get flogged as it won get better.

dragons 23+ mate, get on it

the only positional change i would make, would be john williams outside colin best,
reason being, if matt wright is marked up on nightingale, it will be fergo all over again, where if he is marked on brett morris, he isnt much of a bomb target that way

id say he wants mannah to keep his spot

i agree with you on the bukuya in for brod wright tho

id also swap best and matt wright - best would be better under the high ball and wright needs to be closer to the action, i noticed he took quit a few hit ups over the weekend

and if aiton is suspended id keep brod in the team and just add bukuya

no need for 2 hookers

this week i do, if he still looks underdone, then nsw cup for a few weeks

i agree with you on the bukuya in for brod wright tho

as do i

i wouldnt, i would keep best in the centers as when he gets good early ball he can create for his wingers. i would swap williams and wright positionally though
and if aiton is suspended id keep brod in the team and just add bukuya

no need for 2 hookers

i would look to flanagan, to give some punch and pace out of dummy half

also depends if bert is ready to play or will miss a week

in that case, morris or smith to half back

if morris at half, flanno to 9 and snelson in the 16

if smith at half, morris in the 9, flanno in the 16

Can't bet against the sharks, i will throwing a cheeky $50 on them

kudos to you,

but my tab account will rise again, yours will fall $50

That was a really terrible game to watch. I was at home watching every game this weekend and really enjoying having league back but I haven't watched a game since the Sharks one as it was just that bad.

It is very tempting just to come on here and tear the team apart and call for changes but really how can you judge individuals after a performance like that? If you drop the ball in almost every set in heat like that then no one can show any skill and people will miss tackles and give away tries. It is the most simple aspect of the game.

In terms of specifics I was very happy with Albert Kelly and Kade Snowden who played well despite all that was going on. Not Gardner's best game but I thought his lurking around waiting for an offload and then putting on the speed made us look very dangerous at times in attack and that will come good very soon. We seem to be a bit of a worry under the high ball if the other team has a decent winger like, unfortunately Fergo. And isn't that what hurts the most...

..ken oath!! I wathed the game in Batemans bay and it was full of Canberra supporters cheering on Fergo. It didn't seem right.

I thought I hated that ***t a week ago, now I want to punch his distant relatives in the neck!

See when he was all over Gardner at the start of the game too? From the way he was acting you would have thought the club punted him. Don't get me started on the rat's tail hair cut either! I wish nothing but misery on that idiot. He became my most hated player this week.

I missed the game live and watched it today for the first time and wanted to ask a question. What exactly did Albert Kelly do to get the SharksForever man of the match? I didn't notice him once until he set up that ball to Gardner and then get knocked out. I thought Graham deserved it. He got involved and defended well.

I haven't read all the other posts because there's over a thousand so someone please elaborate.

How anyone handed out 3-2-1 points is beyond me.

But there wasn't much wrong with Kelly or Graham and I'm not sure why some seem intent on one having been crap and the other one better.

If you fail to notice players thats hardly for us to explain. Maybe you just gotta watch closer.
