So he was a St merge fan then he upped and left over a ticketing issue (was probably asked to pay) and decided to degrade the sharks with his presence.

He keeps saying that players are roll models and I have just worked out why, its his kids how can they look at him with any respect as he is just as pathetic as the junkie whore on the corner scabbing cigarette buts out of the drain.

I seriously feel for the guys family.

He is not a sharks supporter he is nothing more then a parasite.

His kids are always posting on the players instagrams and used to have complete access to the players and got as many photos as they wanted, looks like that will not be happening anymore.

The effing clown basically admits to drink driving in the paper today.

4 beers (one early, three after the game) then he thanks the SGC Trust for the free parking.

Someone who isn't blocked on Twitter should call the f-head out!

Seems to be the way Telegraph reporters travel
Besides I doubt any copper would have wanted to take his blood sample for risk of exposure

Dave Smith had want to watch his back...

This cockhead weasled his way into Irvine's trusted circle, and then shat on him. He got Keogh's ticket elected to replace Irvine, and then shat on them, and the CEO they employed after he campaigned for the position to be filled.

I reckon Smith and the NRL are next.

So Rothfield wants to stop supporting his team because on on field and off field dramas. Last year Wilson (article here- http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...718702273?nk=0243298ee047aedba1cafdbe6ec0c2d9 ) claims she stop supporting the NRL because it was boring, and stopped supporting the Wallabies because they aren't winning the tests. She has nothing but praise for the Swan's because they were winning.

So we have two people that claim to be sports journalists that are saying if your team isn't winning, then jump ship and support one that is.

Rugby league doesn't have a culture problem, the problem is in the offices that house these quarter-wits.

Shame , he learn nothing after the press came at him
Had this for 20 months but waited until now :)

The gambling scandal
In 2016, Rothfield was caught up in a controversy involving gambler Eddie Hayson, who was at the centre of some betting scandals in rugby league and racing.

Fairfax Media’s Nick McKenzie and Kate McClymont broke the news in mid-2016 on smh.com.au.

“It was really, really hard,” Rothfield told Mediaweek. “I was used to writing this sort of story about other people.”

Rothfield confessed what happened was a mistake that he has learnt from.

“He [Hayson] was a very good contact of mine. He gave me a lot of big stories over the years. In return I bought him tickets to go to the football, not for free though.

“I used my credit card and paid for the tickets. He paid me back, but he put the money into my TAB account rather than giving me the money itself. This was a mistake I made.”

The story made multiple headlines on various news outlets. These are not the sorts of headlines Rothfield ever wanted to attract. “It was a really, really hard time for me and my family.

“I had unbelievable support from News Corp. They did a month-long investigation, which cleared me of any wrongdoing. I am pleased with the way it worked out.”

As a result of unwanted media attention and backlash on social platforms, Rothfield stepped away from his duties at News Corp for a brief period. He said this helped him clear his head out.

“I suffered a bit of anxiety from it. I needed some time off to deal with it,” he said. “I am in a much better place now.”
