I agree it was totally unnecessary. Why did they do it? At a guess, I think it probably appeals to readers who like to see people who have chosen an "immoral" work choice openly punished.

Regardless of moral rights and wrongs (I certainly don't think that her face should have been published), she is an adult who knew what she was doing. She put herself in that situation.

I'm not judging anyone and I am most certainly not defending the DT. I was giving my assessment of why the DT did something that really was unnecessary to the story. I'm totally against what they did.

Being a "titty" girl at any do carries risks, especially at a mad monday do. She knew and accepted those risks.

My point is they have used an innocent (forget moral values, she was just working) girl as part of their hate campaign on the Sharks.

You think the Eels or Tigers or Raiders or Titans. Even Warriors and Knights and Dragons, at least one of them, would have had adult entertainment. Its their god given right as adults to do so. Should they be publicly condemned for it? **** no. Think Rebecca Wilson hasnt given her spouse a topless vegetable show from time to time? News organisations can photograph anybody in the public doing anything at all that they can defend as being in the public interest. And basically if you're a high profile person, then everything you do can be deemed in the public interest. I work in TV and my brothers a journo for the abc. Does news crop have anything to gain from The sharks suffering? Only that they keep selling newspapers to western sydney who love to hate the shire and the sharks.

Rothfield is a clown, but everything that is happening is due to the failure of the players and the club to manage thier and it's image.

Blame buzz all you like but the media will not change what they do, but the club can change what it does.

Which is exactly the reason once again the club has failed its members by allowing themselves to be caught in a compromising position.

Are we the only club to have adult entertainment at a mad Monday celebration? I'd hazard a guess not. But are we the only club stupid enough to have said entertainment clearly visible to the friggen street where a photographer can take a snap like that.......well yes at the moment.
