If Mortimer is in I’m out. Sorry ;)

For players who have played a game in 2024 their are
- 3 x Fifita
- 3 x Hunt
- 3 x Katoa (not including Tui)
- 4 x Smith (not including Smith-Shields)
- 3 x Trbojevic
- 3 x Walker

I’m curious to know what the maximum number of three-named player who have ever run out for the same team. Warriors must surely have been close to the record yesterday.
Obviously you have “a thing” against the Mortimer’s

Hmmm I don’t think you can quite get there with 5 possible surnames then

1 Turbo
2 Sione Katoa
3 Remis Smith
4 Billy Smith
5 Jojo Fifita
6 Isaiya Katoa
7 Ben Hunt
8 Viliame Fifita
9 Brandon Smith
10 Royce Hunt
11 David Fifita
12 Eli Katoa
13 Jurbo

14 Sandon Smith
15 Burbo
16 Jaiyden Hunt
17

Am I missing someone useable?
Otherwise that’s 5 surnames but might need to swap one of the threes to two pairings (of which there are many).

Probably has to be 6 surnames I guess?
Unless we accept Smith-Shields and Saluka-Fifita

good chance for Ronnie to demonstrate a high level again against the Cowboys who often have strike out wide.

overall they produce quality backs that are usually on their game.

also at home in front of our fans. he thrives on that

Yep. Maybe another good reason to put Iro at right wing and bring Sifa back into the centres. I am looking at that purely for defensive reasons. I'm not saying that Iro can't do the job at centre but it is just that Sifa and Ronnie have more experience in defence together.

Might have more experience together but Iro has been missing less tackles at left centre than than Sifa typically did week to week (I know small sample size but encouraging signs from Iro who can move better laterally and seems to have a solid enough technique).

Hiroti is the man for this occasion, that's why we have depth like him to help out in the backline as required

Shouldn't even need to have this conversation if MRC was such a clown show

Last weeks match against Rabbitohs I remember a few commentators said that we've got one of the best winger combos in the competition when Mulitalo & Katoa are both playing.
