Yeah really looking forward to this one, should be a high quality game.

Good test for both teams.

for some reason i thought this was on a friday and was planning a road trip

oh well

tough game this

6 points either way

just looking at their side from last week (assuming they run out the same) and other than the wings we look better right across the park tbh

Their fullback is solid as well but other than that we should have their measure.

We should be winning this game. With their injuries their isn’t really any excuse tbh

Jayden came off with I think 6 to go with the game well and truly won so not sure if you can take much from that

Yeah - was only last 6 or 7 minutes so only a few sets of six. It doesn’t mean that Capewell is a legitimate hooker option but it does show that Bomber is OK with him filling in there in a pinch.

Geez it’d be great to win this game, after that’s, it’s a bye where we can rest our injuries, work on combinations & then blow out the cobwebs with the Bulldogs, this game can really shape our run to the finals & give us the opportunity to finish high on the table.

Capewell was doing some dummy half passes in the warm up, quite a lot of them so I think he was always on the cards to get some game time at hooker.

Interesting, I guess if you're just running one hooker you need to know who will move there in case of injury, even if you don't intend to play them.
I assume Jayden would have played out last six minutes if he wasn't injured and score wasn't significantly in our favour

Cheers for that

I would find it absolutely incredulous that the Coach would throw Capewell into the hooker role at some time during the game, but refuses to try him on the wing again where we have deadwood. Some have said here that he aint a winger. Surely a hooker is a more skilled and busy position. I don’t get it

too be fair, jayden isnt much of a hooker either, so capewell is plugging a lot of holes

Our wingers are setting a bar low enough that Capewell is looking good. That's sort of the problem. But yeah I agree. He's tall / big and that alone gives him an edge in some cases.

That said there's some winger-specific functions that he may be a liability at, even above our current options.

Maybe he doesn’t enjoy winger.. coach thinks he’s not fast enough or can’t catch high balls/grubbers. Having him at hooker atleast keeps him in the team with minimal disruption to the overall game plan

Shaun Johnson obviously looks like he's going to have another week off unfortunately, I was hoping we'd see him back this week.

I reckon he will be a late inclusion. He was almost a certain starter for the eels but was rested, being over cautious already. Expect him to slot in and flano to drop off

Maybe Bomber has enough confidence in the team to do the job without him, I do. Fingers crossed we can get through this unscathed. If we do, I feel sorry for the Bulldogs. We need a couple of big wins to get our +/- in order

Very curious to see if we swap Xerri and Morris for this game. Xerri and Graham were on fire last week. That left edge become our most dangerous overnight. Moylan(Ferrari) Graham (cannonball), Xerri(sniper), Feki(blunt butter knife)

Who knows, we may see him as a late inclusion, it might be a plan by us to catch Canberra off guard thinking they won't have to put up with Johnson aswell as Graham all of a sudden haha then put him in last hour.
