Short drop outs/Kick offs should be limited to 1 per game in our team.

I like it but we need to get more players around the ball. If we don't get it back give away a penalty so we can reset.

Teams don't mind defending their line so it's worth a shot.

Would it be so crazy to have SJ play fullback?

Not really. I mean SJ can at least kick. Moylan is (at the moment) better at attack but you can do that from fullback. No idea if SJ would be better at fullback from a defensive point of view but I'd doubt it!

I agree, but one shot only per game. We haven't had a mix of players that can execute these type of trick shots, for decades. Only a desperate, 2nd short kick off, if times nearly out and we behind, imho.

All our short drop outs last night were pin point. The problem was who/how many were chasing and wether we had enough support players around the ball desperate to grab the loose ball.

100%.

Need 2-3 players in front on the ball and behind, if not more. Opposition gets it you give a penalty away.

It's definitely worth persevering with.

The defence was where I had a question as well. But it feels like it would satisfy a lot for SJ! Organising, chiming in whenever... Let the adults run the show and he can play!

Moylan... What to do with that guy. We've had a worse player under the high ball but I can't think of his name. He really did not look natural back there.

The way we are playing 6 and 1 are basically the same position in attack. It just depends which one you want to be defending on the line and which one you want defusing kick. Based on last night you’d you’d say those two are in the wrong spots. SJ hasn’t played in 2 months though so let’s not be too hard on him.

I'm pretty hot with the way both of them are playing, ask things considered. And do think we'll be a better team with both in it for the rest of the season.

I'm really just putting the question out there about best natural positions. SJ might be a natural fullback... though would likey be at his best playing 7's Rugby! Moylan's a really good player, but his issues under the ball make him look more like a half.
