Ridiculous Lengths I have gone to support the sharks….
*
These are a few things I have done in the past two years to support our club;
*
Over the past two years, I have invited and bought about thirty of my friends and family, in which I wanted to spread the word of our great team ( and convert a few from AFL, Union or other NRL teams). I went out of my way to show my family and friends (who were new to Shark Park) where everything was and bought them either a beanie or scarf to fit in. I have now converted my missus (from the dragons), brother in law (from the bulldogs) and a few other friends to the Cronulla Sharks.
*
A good friend had a major car accident late 2012 and has been stuck in a wheelchair for several months couldn’t get to the first open day in March. Knowing she had a huge crust on Luke Lewis and the Cronulla Sharks, I decided to ask Luke if he could sign the 2013 Members hat and talk to my friend via the phone to cheer her up, in which Luke did. I do feel sorry for Luke as Lea (friend) screamed in his ear at the start and couldn’t believe we had arranged it.
*
My younger sister passed away April 2012, so I decided to get my sister a membership to the club so that her name can appear with my name on the 2013 members’ jersey. I purchased one for my father and sent it to him as it is hard for him to get away from Tamworth due to work commitments. My mother came down to visit me and I took her to see the Sharks v Roosters game at Shark Park (this was her first time she had ever been at the Shark Park), in which I presented her with a Sharks 2013 members jersey. That night I swear it was something special as I though my sister was with us at the park.
*
I am planning to purchase a 2014 membership and jersey for one of my missus friend’s son for Christmas. He has been a long time sharks supporter however he hasn’t been to a game or owns a jersey due to money issues. The reason I am doing this is to help a fellow shark fan out. He is a good, hard working bloke that does a lot of things for his mother and siblings, in which I think needs to be rewarded.
*
I put it to the fellow sharks supporters on here if they have some spare coin or sharks gear maybe donate to Iron Shark (when he runs his trivia nights) or to our School “Sharks Fan’ Teacher in Fiji.
*
Overall I did these few acts of kindness to help mend scars that were emotional or physical to my close friends and family. In the end, you will find it rewarding to yourself and others around you.
*
UP UP Cronulla
*
*Thanks
