yeah he must be great cos he played in a grand final.

remember he wasnt first string, Bryson Goodwin did a spleen. Wright wouldnt have been there otherwise.

Really?

Coz Jono played every game for the Bulldogs last year, how does that work?

Also, being privy to knowing someone involved with NSW cup, when they say Ratu isnt ready, i'll take that

Was going to say the same thing.

A few people have said Ratu isn't ready, that's good enough for me. We have a habit of making a fuss over players when they are playing well in lower grades on this forum.

Everyone makes a fuss over any player we have who has speed.

Spot on. Real speed, the type Ratini has only a few players in the comp have. It can make the difference between a half break and a try. The problem is you have to have the rest of the game to go with it.

Yes, I reckon though with a full season in NSW Cup he'll definitely challenge next year for a wing spot.

You only had to watch the weekends game v the blue bags to know he is not ready YET to be playing first grade

Saying that he seems keen to get the ball in his hands and run at the line just needs some work in the defence.

Darren Clark 400m runner represented Australia in 2 Olympics 1984 & 1988 had all the speed and couldn't make it in the ARL for the Balmain Tigers.

I am not saying he is ready, but what aspect to people believe most he needs to improve before he is ready?

On the weekend I saw him tip toe along the touch line to score with defenders coming across, I saw him catch a clearly forward pass thrown by Chad that was out in front of him at speed and him take a decent high ball above an opposition player.

Is it his reads in defence on the line or in and around the 20?

His hands seem pretty reliable and the bloke backs himself which are good signs.

Is it just defensive reads and positioning?

Hope he is putting big pressure on the boys mid season because it would be really good to unearth a talent for once after years of watching other teams bring players through.

He only left league because he couldn't play in his running tights. His lunchbox didn't quite have the same impact in footy shorts.

His defense needs a lot of improving. He seems to be getting better each week though so hopefully by the end of the year he can hold his own.

Also his positional play in regards to kicks is poor. He always seems to be in the wrong spot when the opposition kicks the ball. It was a miracle that we managed to even get to the ball last week with both him and Gardner at the back.

How's he under the high ball? Anyone know because I can't recall him ever having to leap for a kick.

So Raitini scored another try on the weekend. Didn't see the game at all but I have seen him play other games and you can't help but be excited by his speed.

Did anyone see this game? Any comments on Raitini?

It was a fairly simple try for him to score, awesome cutout pass from Sopoaga.

He could be awesome for us... next year. The guys still learning the rules and his defense looks a little shaky.
