Trial Try but 1st of hopefully many to come - - - Manly scored in the south eastern corner of the field in the final term before new recruit Alipate Ratini scooped up a loose ball and weaved through the middle of the Manly ruck before sprinting 60 metres to score his first try in Cronulla colours

scoring a try in under 20s dont mean ****. Our first grade squad in 2009 coulda scored tries in under 20s.

Sounds like a sprinter but, get him some game time, then push him into the deep end that is firsts, we need speed

he isn't. Pat politoni and tim robinson also played 20's even though they weren't eligible, must of had some sort of agreement with manly.

Alipate runs exactly like korobeite hits the line hard and looks like a handful to bring down. He made a couple of mistakes but scored a good 50 metre try, definitely didn't sprint away from the chasers but i'll put that down to the injury.

What a humungous problem for Flanno next year. Ryan, Briscoe & Raitini. 2014 could be the year. Thats if we dont crack it this year

How long before this dude gets the call up? I haven't really had a chance to watch him play but I did notice he scored a try yesterday and he was a powerful looking unit.

How's he stack up against the amazing J Wright?

Has speed to burn. I will look forward to his continuing growth as a player and once he grasps the defensive side to the game he'll be 1st grade material.

He is a great athlete with balance, speed and power. His game awareness and positional play seems to be improving quickly. It is too soon to throw him in yet but he has great potential. We desperately need some speed and x-factor in the first grade side.
