****s me when they can't get our ground name right.

Yeah it's traditionally known as Shark Park, but Southern Cross Group pay a ****load to be it's naming right.

They had no problem dropping ANZ and Allianz a few dozen times in the article.

Even worse is all through remondis tenture they still called it Shark Park, and once remondis stopped sponsorship they kept calling it Remondis Stadium.

How hard is Google?

I'm guilty of it as well, I still call that cold hole in Canberra Bruce Stadium, but if I was writing an article on it I'd at least Google the naming right sponsors

Very few people care about what an arena is called, they just want something meaningful to describe it. ANZ stadium is not meaningful. Olympic stadium is though, homebush gets you there too.

I remember going to the Acer Arena for a concert? Where the **** was it. I don't know. I had to google and I'm still pissed off about it.

Shark Park works for me regarding the Sharks.

The thing that baffles me is that when I worked for a magazine, I had a sub-editor who would fact check everything I wrote. Even the most mundane fact she would make sure was correct. And yet so many glaring errors make it through the cracks at the papers. I guess that's what happens when you cut editorial budgets to the bare minimum.

If you really wanna get pissed off, Centrepoint Tower was never officially called Centrepoint Tower

Who knows what sort of crowds you'd see at a stadium in a good location.

To spend 1.4 billion and not even talk about that is mind boggling.

It would be interesting to see what crowds you would get if a stadium was between two train stations and adjacent an entertainment precinct like Suncorp is.

Need to update the title.

But while we're here, I see Sydney FC have given the SCG the arse and are taking their games to Kogarah. Do you think we were ever in consideration, and do you think we could handle a NRL club and a A-League team simultaneously?

They were all mouth when this area was in consideration for an expansion team, claiming the Shire as Sydney FC territory, but doesn't attempt to claim any of it?

Kogarah is a bit more central and I'm guessing hosts less league games, probably a better surface for soccer.

i dont think we were, the dragons went out of their way to build a relationship with sydney fc whilst we went out of our way to get our own team
