They need to get it out of their heads that we're not like Melbourne and never will be. It works in the AFL, will never work here.

It'll work for the first couple of months when it's a shiny new experience. Then Sydneysiders will become bored of the travel and ditch it.

It could be as little as 3 matches are year at the SFS.

Is that the end of the world if it means guaranteeing 9 games a year at Shark Park forever? Its better than saying we have to move all our games.

It's 25% of our game day revenue plus a big trading day for the club. No way, we should fight this if it eventuates.

yes it is the end of the world. It has nothing to do with us. If the government was giving us funding for development of our ground then I'd be all for it but we should not have to move our home games away from a ground we own just to help other clubs get their home grounds upgraded. Especially parramatta, that ground has zero to do with us so **** them.

How would the Roosters et al take it if the NRL/Government decided that a super-mega stadium was to be built on the site of Shark Park and everyone had to move their games to help the business case?

l don't for the life of me, understand why Mrs Gould's boy don't have to play the game and why we have to cater for the salary cap boys new oval.
The league owns a few clubs, let them pamper their boss.Yes you are right HB people will give it a go for a couple of games then stop. Stupid idea if true

Wouldn't the SFS pay us to play there?

In fact it would be a fixed amount so if it rained, for example, and nobody turned up, we would still get our cash. Plus we wouldn't have to hire staff, security and all the other costs associated with owning our ground.

I would be disappointed too if we moved games because I love Shark Park, but I don't think financially we would be worse off.

Google maps informs me its 33 minutes from cronulla to moore park and 35 minutes from penrith to parramatta so penrith can play their games at parramattas shiny new stadium when its built if we have to go to the sfs.

maybe if they took like the 3 lowest crowd (furthest away teams) like warriors, cowboys, storm and had
a super round double header at SFS or homebush.

Yeah we should put that to Gus.

SFS would be far more convenient for me, and probably for you as well, but I hope we put up a fight to stay at OUR home ground.

Yeah would be a lot more convenient but I'd much rather watch us play at shark park any day. As 2010 said its not our problem the nrl bit off more than they can chew

I believe we are in the position to tell the NRL to get stuffed, If need to be they should force the Dragons or Tigers to play more games at those venues seeing as the NRL provides those clubs financial support.

The solution could be to extend the comp by 2 more rounds.

If either of those teams are told to play anywhere it should be Wollongong and Campbelltown. What kind of business tries to reduce it's geographical coverage?

It's funny, the AFL and A League would kill to have Rugby League's coverage in greater Sydney/gong.
