Its unfair to say they are not trying, even when they muff akick he was still trying just a total lack of ability

Heres the problem with filling the cap with 2nd rowers n props.
For the money fifita will be getting he'd wanna start showin up.

Luke lewis is an nrl star, but he is a second rower, look at arona this year, playing out of his skin.
We are left with nothing after carney and our forwards so have t scrape the barrel. Hence robbo holdsworth ayshford wright etc

For the first time in 40 years of supporting this club, I walked out early. Didn't even care if we made a come back as we did not deserve it. Sure some of the players tried their guts out, but the majority of them were pure ****e. Thank god for players like Wade, JMo and Heigno cause the rest were poo. Sharpie has made it clear he doesn't want the job. Well do us all a favour and step down... give it to someone who has some ticker and a set of balls to make the tough decisions regarding dropping players that simply turn up to collect their pay cheques. Time to start blooding some new guys as this year may as well be over.

Wade was poo.

Heighno and Jmo were good, Arona close behind, everyone else was sub-par.

My only issue with the Sharpe thing is, he is copping so much flack, but i dont think he really put his hand up for this task. Its like hiring some jack of all trades to come build you a deck then hating him when it falls down.

I think the decision should have been made in december, to have a meeting with Sharpe and give him a choice. It seems like he never got the choice. I also dont think he deserves to lose his assistant job when Flanno is back. He is a very poor head coach, but i guess we can all agree, Sharpe wasnt the one who decided to be the coach.

However, Im not quite sure we would have gotten much better results no matter who was brought in for the season, unless it was a 'new' coach, that was gunna be here long term. We have had injury after injury.

Carney has missed what 4 or 5 games now?
Gal 6 games
Fifita missed a few
Lewis has played 2 of 11
Toupo came back and is now injured again
Beau is gone probably for the year
Robson missed a few weeks(but thats neither here nor there lol)

Then add a few casualties last night, we are looking like the Tigers of 2013, if we had any coach but these injuries still occurred, who knows.

Think if we had Gal for the full game vs Titans, i think we coulda won, same with the local derby.

He's the one that said all along he didn't want to be a first grade coach. No one held a gun to his head. The bloke is a ****wit.

This club seriously needs freshening up, board, coaching staff and players. However in my opinion the retention of flanagan for 3 yrs means we're in for much of the same.

I don't blame Sharp. He's a had a horrid run with injuries with an old squad that isn't his. He doesn't even have the power to fix it or build something new. We should have cut Flanagan and started again with someone who had the nuts to rebuild. Oh well. Three more years.

so you know what happened during the meetings?

How do you know the club didnt say, right you are doing this, you are the assistant and the coach is absent so as the assistant its your job to take over in the interim.

there could be a clause saying no coach, youre up. Refusal could result in him losing his job.

He is a **** head coach i dont doubt that. But he was never brought to the club to do the job he is doing right now. Basically the same as bringing a reserve grade ⅝ into firsts and expecting him to play like a first grader

Mate I'm not blaming him entirely, but at the end of the day he had the chance to say no. He knew he didn't want to be a head coach.

If refusing to take the role would result in him losing his assistants job then so be it. Why should 10,000 members be forced to sit through **** performances just so this guy can have a job? Seems pretty selfish to me.

Again, it's not all his fault, but he shouldn't have taken the job.

Yeah but this 'sitting through poor performances' talk is coming from nothing but pride. I hate seeing them lose, i hate a season of losing but it will turn around. If people were more focussed on being grateful we still actually exist and worry less about the 5 minutes of heckles your mates at work might give ya, youll realise next year is a new year.

I guess it puts the people who said flanno was a **** coach in line. Sharpe-**** coach flanno-decent coach

its pretty simple, if sharpe didnt want the job, thats what he should have said

if they wanted a cheaper alternative, tony herman is chomping at the bit to get a run

but, since sharpies admission of not wanting to be a coach, and the performances looking like dogs breakfast, he is the sole brunt of criticism

I think he is "fine" with being a stand-in, but he doesn't have any ambition to be a full time coach again. They are two different things.

I think theres 24 players responsible aswell. If not more.

Our golden goose has been terrible except against the warriors. Injured or not he still hasnt produced. Thats not a coaching error. Neither are stupid penalties or very bad kicks. Thats all spur of the moment stuff.

This is a combined effort.

There is no way put of this because whoever they hire, the players don't have to listen because they know we have Flanno back next year. Any interim coach is powerless. May as well give Hermann the job and put Sharp back in nsw cup. Atleast he might know how to get a team to score points.

We need a secret meeting between the players and Flanno where reads them the riot act but it would be too risky.

would of been happy for Herman to coach us, lets he sets a good attacking structure
