A sevens comp would be something a bit different and I think it would great to watch.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It's still League like so it's enough for me to bother watching it, but if the teams were all changed up and the rules etc it'd be a nice change and something to get me through an off season.

eights not sevens we are getting rid of the scrum ,who is we you ask ,dont know is my reply i should of hit delete ,its a revenue raiser for clubs ,its a bit like if the cronulla sharks had a big bash team or a soccer team that was affialeted with the club id support it ,it would be a success and it would be rock n roll rugby league ..every player is a star and with the i generation it would be a hit quick turn arounds 13 man squads ,, where is kerry packer ,sheesh channel ten and seven should do it

Why eights? Sevens has been a traditional format that has been proven to work.

just to get rid of the scrum which equals 8 thats it also final 8 final series {clutching at straws at the moment ] arrrrm eights great and sevens and nines both come and went lets see if the ole 8 can be continous {chinese thingymejig }also another reason for this to make it attractive is the fact that in thew winter months if they replace a back that has become injured we know a bit about him because of summer league ..im just a footy tragic that prefer to watch eights rugby league in summer than cricket or freaken soccer ,because everyday over summer ill scan ythe media for nrl ,superleague news and i am not the only one ,,why eights why not lol

I do agree, I enjoy the break from footy. Love watching the cricket. Even when the Charity Shield is on and the cricket is still going I'm not really in the mood to watch footy. If it was all year round it would spoil I think. Too much product and not enough quality would be the case.

kicks off in mid october and finishes mid febuary ,,keeps rugby league players playing rugby league instead of following a different sport

You're selling it really well and I'm heaps into it. But October to Feb is a bit ambitious, I'd rather a short round-robin style set-up. (Like someone said before, with teams from Perth, 2nd Brisbane team, Central Coast, etc..)
It would be so entertaining and wouldn't last too long, you couldn't get sick of footy that way.
