Sea Eagles - only thing of interest is Burbo indeed named to start, although I don't love Waddell and Lawton on bench for his minutes. Every chance it's the classic Burbo trap again, proceed with caution. I reluctantly am holding atm.

Rabbitohs - Gagai is interesting if you think he stays in the team for a bit. Wighton due back soon but Munro perhaps couple months and Graham even longer. Am I missing someone or could it be Trell AJ Wighton Tass Gagai? But if Kennar or Tass went to wing instead you're screwed.
Keppie starting is interesting - Moale averaged just 27 minutes last year and Burgess is trending down.
Host on bench is not what we wanted to see for Arrow although he could pick up minutes in middle if he subs off.

Roosters - Leniu starting but presumably just until JWH back next round.
May on a 3 forward bench but I've heard Sandon Smith might be back to reserve Cup after this round to play halves and with Watson they become a 4 forward bench. I'm going to move off May I think and see what appears for the week after.
Wong and Tupouniua are interesting but Butcher a threat on the bench. Based on trials Tupouinua could pick up some middle time if subbed off, but probably not if they go 4 forwards. Anyone got a guess if him or Wong play 80?

Broncos - Arthars on wing (with Mariner but he's priced out)
Piakura starting and no real edge named on bench which I like to see.
3 forward bench good for Wilison, especially as I could see him making more impact than Fletcher or Kobe.

Anything I've missed? Or thoughts on my comments?
Sea Eagles - Burbo a play this week if you pick him as he should get 80, although he can pick up an injury. Schuster coming back is the red flag for him. Possibly may keep a bench spot, although Schuster isn't exactly known for quick injury returns.

Rabbits - There was some talk that Munro would be eased into first grade this year and the injury may mean he is able to come back and develop in Cup, before coming into first grade later in the year? I think it comes down to Kennar v Gagai for the wing when Wighton comes back. IMO Four forward bench hurts the likes of Keppie and Arrow. Not sure they can get the minutes bump needed.

Roosters - From memory, Tupouniua didn't play 80 at all last year, so hopefully its Wong. Interestingly, I did read that Suaalii would have been the one not picked if Young was fit.

Broncos - There was some talk that Taupau was going to get the bench spot over Willison so could be a trap. Haas and Carrigan both play big mins, so there might not be many minutes left for Willison even if he does hold his spot.

My current 2RF iteration is running
Fermor, Lane, Curran, Luki, Piakura, Smithies

And I'm finding it very hard to undo one of them back to free up some money haha

I think I've settled on my line-up for the time being.
Depending on eels and Canberra teamlists may need to swap my backup hooker and 5/8 but most likely will be players from same teams/price range that replace them. E.g: Hands for lussick, strange for weekes.

Wasn't sure posting team line-up was a good idea but figured can use all the advice I can get

My takes on your side @Sevshark

Wong is a good pickup I don't have, assuming he plays 60+. I'm a bit concerned how they will play out him, Tupouniua & NButcher
If you think he gets 80 though can't argue it. Realistically he shouldn't get less than 60 which I think should be okay.
In a normal round 1 I'd probably be watching TLT to change Curran to him if not named to start.

Is Cartwright there as a nuff or with potential to play? If he is a nuff I'd look at someone even less likely to play than him. Wouldn't take many injuries for him to jag a low minute bench role which wouldn't be ideal. I don't see him ever getting relevant minutes with Friz, Lucas & KPP there.

I like the Brooks pick and am tempted to downgrade to it also. He could luck into a lot of extra points in that side with creative plays like 'pass to Turbo'.

I kind of hate Hutch and Salmon both in CTW... but I also have it. I think also having Curran in my side makes me like it even less. Pending team list it could be fine, if Salmon named bench though I will probably get rid of him if I can find a better option.

Seeing Savage in a lot of sides, if he holds start he is a good get. For me if you see Weekes at 5/8 week one I'd probably avoid Savage as too much chance they end up 1 Kris 2 Rapana 3 Strange 4 Timoko 5 Hopoate.
And if Schiller starts at centre and Strange in 5/8 there is also a non-zero chance Schiller could hold that spot and see Savage bumped, although I think more likely Savage wins that, so you could be a bit more confident.

The raiders ones are really tough hey. 2-3 out of Cotric, Savage, Strange, Weekes, and Schiller likely make some decent cash. But ****ed if I know the right combo. Also every chance that the Rd 1 combo is very different to the Rd 5 combo.

Also... grain of salt... but Buzz reckons Sticky is planning on leaving Rapana at fullback when Kris returns.

That means that after round one Strange plays at five-eighth or not at all, and 2 of Cotric/Savage/Hopoate at wing.

If one of Strange/Weekes is named at 6 your obviously grab them, but I would be wary of selecting whoever plays left centre in round 1.

WINNER DECLARED IN CANBERRA FULLBACK RACE
Jordan Rapana has won the battle for the Canberra fullback spot.

Coach Ricky Stuart has opted for experience in the position despite a strong push from young gun Chevy Stewart.

The Raiders have a tough away trip in round one against the Knights.

Sebastian Kris played all but three of his games at fullback last year but will play centre when he returns from suspension in round two, with Rapana to stay at fullback.

Stewart is highly-rated at the club but won’t feature over the opening rounds.

Strange looked the best of the lot in trials for me, Savage next but Strange being younger and in the position that absolutely must be filled (5/8) has me expecting to see him named. If Weekes grabs 5/8 I'll swap to him as the 5/8 role is the most secure of the lot.

Possible for Strange to be named centre and play well, Weekes to be given first shot at 6 and suck and Weekes wind up being dropped of course.

I just don't think Rapana has a full season of fullback in him unless he is as or more fit than he has ever been.
Could easily hold it for 5 rounds or so, let Kris settle back in then have either Kris or Savage go to the back.
Agree about left centre round 1 though, too much uncertainty but most likely outcome is they drop out.

Yeah, hoping both should be good for 60+ though. Wouldn't say I have more confidence Wong or Tupouniua played 80 than Luki does.

The good think is that Luki/Wong/Curran could all easily be relevant with 60 minutes. Especially if Curran gets a frf dual. Obviously it would be ideal for them to get 80, but I could still see them making 100k or more with 60 mins.

Yeah Jed was a bit of a nuff pick so I could put more money into my starters.

I think I've had all the raider backline rookies in the line-up at different points but will honestly come down to TLT on who actually makes squad.
Thankfully they are all pretty cheap.

Worried about hutcho as well just hoping being in halves will be enough to make some early money and upgrade.

I can see plenty of people using a trade or 2 in week 3 to get rid of the wrong midranger 2RF!

Last we heard Finucane had a neck injury so if not named in side McInnes becomes a lot more interesting. Don't think I can afford him personally.

Could be so minor he would have played if it had been a season game not a trial, or could be more, we have no info.

Yeah he was just eating too much of my cap considering the unknowns there.
