There are different kinds of bad form. If a plaer turns up to play and makes mistakes I can cop that. If they don't turn up to play at all they can get ****ed. Maloney puts in. He has been dumb but he puts in.

Execution in attack isn't there and you can understand that when your previous 1 & 9 aren't there but more of the load should fall on Maloney's shoulders.

1-3 at home, 4-0 on be road. We've played stronger opponents on the road too. Bit bizarre.

TBH I didn't think Maloney's form was that great this time last year. He picked it up leading up to origin, slumped a little after origin, and played out of his skin in the finals. I'd be fine with a repeat of that.

picking his time at the roosters and then comparing to the sharks is apples and oranges

his backline at the roosters was as follows:

anthony minichello: nsw and australian rep in his prime, 2013 was also one of his best seasons
daniel tupou: nsw and australian rep
michael jennings: nsw and austyralian rep
skd: kiwi rep
RTS: kiwi rep
blake ferguson: nsw and australian rep

he also had a repl half steering the team around

the only international back that maloney has in this team last year was beale (holmes now)
feki has never played for nz and tonga samoa is trash

our game plan has always been forward dominated which will take away from maloneys natural game, and last year ennis ran the side and maloney just chipped in

in his 22 regular season games he managed 5 tries, he has 3 already so he should beat that

didnt kick a 40/20 last year, did this year

his defense is way down, but his tackle breaks and line breaks are up

his kicking is down, on the weekend he was calling for the ball but brailey was always looking for chad to target the pom down the short side

the thing that is annoying with maloney is he goes to wade too much at the moment, couple of times he could have gone out the back to holmes but hit wade short and wade was cut down

all in all, maloney is far from the problem in this team, the attitude in the group is what stinks

if anyone should come out of that game covered in ****, it should be bird, he was ****ing diabolical
