Mate... as a bloke of superior years myself who played competition sport well and truly beyond my used-by date, I can tell you it's not about the injury - it's about the recovery time. You might as well add a 40% loading on recovery time with the older blokes. We just don't heal as quick... welcome to "life"

Gal and lewis. Thats it. Gal will prob be a month out i reckon as is standard with that injury

What has happened to our defence compared to how it was in 2016? Our defence was absolutely useless tonight! We let them get over 60mtrs every time they had the ball. Also, I missed the commentary but what was Dugans try disallowed for? I saw it & as far as I was concerned that was a try & would have got us back into the match. It was ruled a try originally I thought?

Val was ruled to have knocked it on before Dugan planted in down.

Our defence wasn’t great because we played almost the whole second half without Gal, Fifita, Wade and Lewis.

Wrong

Leutele was a good few meters in front of hodko and a long way away from him due to wade being out of position

But it was poor from loots and hodko

Ricky was marking his centre. If he holds and comes in the space is created on the outside. He can’t do both

I have been harsh on the sharks intent for the past 5 weeks.

However tonight in not a night for criticism.with what We were a victim of circumstances tonight. Injury, ref decisions, and the bounce of the ball simply did not go our way tonight. To be still in the game with what we faced was a credit to our attitude and the the way we played with ball in hand.

It was not mediocrity, it was not a case of no succession plan it was a simple case of bad luck. If Gal, Fifs, and Graham finish that game I just about guarantee we win.

Thanks mate interesting though, I swear that was ruled as a penalty though. The referees were pretty poor tonight though I must say.

Fifita was destroying that game. Such a shame he got injured

What do we have to do to be able not to get a serious injury for one of our key players? The amount of injuries we have had this year has just been ridiculous compared to the other teams.

On a positive I thought Paulo was really good. We won’t lose much with him going to lock

If those 4 are all out next week, who is our new forward pack? Prior & Ava up front with Paulo at starting lock? I wouldnt know who the 2nd rowers would be though haha.

I see what you are saying but Loots moves past the ball which created the space for nufty to slice though.

He could have kept Aitken covered but hung back to keep the line straight.

Hokko knees are stuffed though. The dude can’t move laterally.

Considering how many injuries we had, I thought it was a decent performance. We never gave up and received some dodgy refs calls and the bounce of the ball just didn't go our way.
One decision that baffled me was how they could use a shot from 20m behind the play to definitely say that Holmes finger touched the ball especially after it was ruled a try onfield.
Anyway it's going to be a tough season from here on in and our forward reserves will be tested with plenty of opportunities for them to get onto the field.
