Gotta disagree I am liking the six again rule, obviously it's going through some birthing pains but I actually enjoy the new rule.
If they are going to keep with this new rule they've gotta be consistent, fair & fair enough, tonight was even & a sin bin each but you can't have 1 team getting about 15-20 compared to the other only 2-3 when that team does these ruck infrigements aswell & gets ignored in other games.

Only caught the last 10, so could be way off the mark, but I feel we massively needed someone to close out the game tonight.

The good teams ice games by kicking to touch and forming a solid line. Force the other team to go 90 to score. Tonight when the game was on the line we came up with a kick into the defence and an intercept.

Glad to get the win but it definitely felt like we could've thrown it away with another 2 minutes on the clock.

I do agree on that but the issue with that though is that even if we did do that they looked like they could get 50-100 metres every set they had anyway. Let them get too many offloads, ran the ball outwide on just about every set & got a fair few metres.

I’ll probably remind everyone when the Manly game thread goes up BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THIS!

Manly could have half their team out injured and they’d still beat us.

So put the thoughts of their injuries out of your minds.

We can never beat them.

Couldn’t agree more.
although we played better. We are still ****house.

just beat the lowly dogs whom have had long term salary cap issues by 2 points.

not good enough when you’ve got multiple state of origin players, test players and a golden boot winner in your squad.

**** performance.
we’ll get lapped by Manly with half their side out injured.

Shaun and Chad 1 & 2 for line engagements, guess half taking on the line is our style

-Chads been reading the forum. Had a great game.
-Woods was as good a front rower as you’ll find tonight. And the dogs pack is not bad.
-Talakai can tackle!
-sadly we only just held out a poor team. Lots of positives though, up the sharks!

It wasn't pretty but we'll take the win.
Our handling and lack of mistakes was excellent.
Chad had a blinder and I like the new guy Talaki, he played really well.
Moylan looked good in patches, he'll get better with more game time.
Bring on the Sea Eagles.

Loved seeing both of them tuck the ball under the arm if there wasn't anything on. Still both looked pretty pedestrian, but it's a start!

Possibly impacted by the amount of 6 agains being called our forwards play the ball speeds (other than Wade) were all really quick. Much quicker than the Bulldogs.
This is a stat we simply will not be allowed to win against the better teams and it makes a big difference. Woods at 3.01s was our second slowest, their quickest forward was 3.17s

That extra second every play the ball to set your defence is big, even more so when you use it to get offside and give the opposition no chance to get any momentum up.

Morris said that it was the 5th time that Wade, SJ, Moylan and Duges has taken the field together. Oof.

Even then we didn't get the clean sweep of 80 minutes each, although fortunately just due to a passed HIA

Crichton facing a two game suspension for a shoulder charge on Moylan in the first half. Remember it happening and Moylan blowing up.

No penalty to us
