Thinking back to 2016 - we were never great in attack but always defending like our lives were at stake.

For whatever reason we have lost that hunger to play for each other. I think it starts with our forward pack.

That starts with the coaching staff.
I was optimistic when Bomber took over but he hasn’t stepped up like I’d hoped he would and isn’t getting the best from the players.
Interchange and strategy is on the coach.
Execution is on the players.

I think we are lacking on both fronts at the moment and it’s up to the coach to take ownership of that.

There's a half dozen guys that look like they're either carrying injuries or worried they're about to get one

All about attitude. We turned up for a game, they turned up to win it.

I'm a Bomber fan, but if I have to point the finger it's going to be in his direction.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there may be many coaches in an NRL team set-up. ie Head Coach and a team of assistants, defence coach, attack coach, wrestle coach, sprint coach, piss-up coach etc

Now I seem to have this misconception that a head coach's main role is not to teach how to play the ball, pass it, mark up or whatever, but to motivate, to get the team's mostly tiny brains in the right place to go out and do their job. That doesn't appear to be happening.

It's time for John Boy to drop the Mr Nice Guy image, put on the cranky pants, and start kicking some arse. :take that

I’m with you. I’ve always thought a good head coach is one that gets the players UP for the game, hungry and ready to scrap, wanting to work. Week to week getting their heads in the game - it’s a whole mindset/identity that the Coach brings to get the players attaching themselves to.

Don’t even get me started on our game play strategy and benching choices - Even if that was good it’s secondary to attitude. He is not ready to be an NRL coach and we’re copping it

We have to be fair dinkum though. We need a decent fullback and a 7 that can play football. We have a pretty good starting pack but when they go off we suck. We aren’t a good team and haven’t been since 2017

We were only a game away from the gf in 2018.

Why did he not bring back Rudolph until the last 5 when we were desperate & playing with better line speed? If he wants to give Connor ago & Brailey a rest, take Brailey out 10 before h/time & 10 into the 2nd, Brailey back on for the final 20-30. It was as simple as that. Tracey couldn't even pass a ball properly today.

I've been tossing Tracey's name out there recently, but on today's showing he has a way to go.

Trindall anyone ?

Well at least we got the #13 correct today - just need more minutes out of him.

And Williams was better back where he belongs.

I appreciate you’ve looked at this as just an unlucky miss rather than that just bringing any random unproven person is rarely an upgrade

Williams off the bench was good, he gave some sort of impact.

Does anyone have any Dragon mates giving you **** right now?

I actually haven’t and have had one apologise to me for winning!

Yeah my mate but they are in the same boat as us too so not much paying out. Dragons are like us, the win was just a cover for the cracks.

We were the rub of the green (in terms of ref decisions) away from winning that
Both teams were garbage and the one with more luck won

I feel drained. It hasn't been an easy ride as a Sharks supporter, from the 2nd division days to now.

We've mostly 'had a go' but there was only a handful in our team today that I felt did that.

Very disappointed, and more than a little disillusioned.
