I've had some time now to think about the game last night and I'm very pleased with the win.
There are some other aspects I'm pleased about as well.

(1) The return to form of Ben Barba. Gee that try he scored was scintillating.
(2) Our defence. From the first set we showed Melbourne we weren't going to be intimidated.
(3) We created opportunities. Sure we bombed a few tries - Val didn't have the best night - but the attack seems to be coming together a bit better. Some of the passes from Townsend and Maloney have been great, getting the ball out wider and sooner.
(4) Chad is really impressing me. Maloney's not quite there but Chad is doing the business. He looks every inch a footballer at the moment.

If you weren't there and didn't hear about the Under 20s game, you'll be amazed.
When I got there the Storm led 22-6 and scored again to make it 28-6 before half time so instead of taking my seat and watching that debacle, I decided to get some exercise and did a few laps of the ground.
By the time I got back to my seat the Sharks had fought back to only being down by 10 at 40-30 and I turned to Littleshark and said, "Surely we can't win this." But win it they did - 48-40. Ridiculous.
But great to get two wins against the Storm!
I can only assume by your wisdom that you have seen a few winters. Great post.

Yeah it was a trip but it wasn't dangerous. Maybe a 10 minute Bin and the penalty was enough?

of course a trip is dangerous the thing with a trip normally the attacking player looking forward not down its like a blindside hit they are not expecting it
and cannot brace themselves. professional foul should have been instant 10min sin bin.

Agree, considering I almost don't rekon chambers hold down on val after the breakaway was that bad, seen a lot worse let go.

Really proud of the boys getting over the line. Fantastic win. Even from the warm up you could see we were switched on and aggressive and it played out accordingly. Flanno obviously read my post during the week about pushing up and in defence.

Bit surprised with alot of posters attitudes to this win. I don't think this is the game to over analyse and call out multiple flaws in our team and critique how apparently mediocre we were and what needs to improve. There's a long season ahead to do that.

The task was a massive one, to beat the Storm and we achieved that. Job done IMO. For alot of Sharks fans that would have been the first time they have ever seen the Sharks beat Melbourne live at a game.

Sometimes you just need to live the moment and enjoy it without looking too far ahead, especially as a Sharks fans you need to enjoy what you can as it comes and this was damn satisfying.
I mean FFS the last time we beat this mob Robson had hair!
